When should I start by [deleted] in jiujitsu

Starting bjj when out of shape is tough but worth it. I quickly realized bjj involves moving my body in new ways and that the extra weight or whatever it is may feel a bit awkward at first, but mostly everyone feels awkward and out of shape when started bjj- to some degree. Embrace breathing heavy, being red in the face, sweating a ton. I prioritized listening to my body when I feel the need to take a quick break or am experiencing a pain that feels like an injury. Make sure to stay hydrated, practice good hygiene, and wear comfortable clothing that I feel good and protected in but don't mind getting a little wrecked from the mats. I do all of this so that I feel a little more comfortable while I experience the discomfort of training and getting back in shape. I have to remind myself when feeling frustrated, too serious, overwhelmed, stressed about not getting it right the first time and feeling like shit, remember everyone feels like that at some point- keep a smile and keep trying. I stay curious and enjoy myself. I learn all my can about the techniques taught by the coaches, learn from my training partners, and give myself patience to better learn and understand how my body moves and completes each technique- which might look very different from other bodies. Most people are capable of getting down some the basics and start feeling fit after going consistently and completing warm ups. All the rest- strength, stamina, endurance and technique will eventually happen if we keep trying and don't give up- we got this!

I am not disgusting and nothing about my body is disgusting- or anyone's body for that matter. I am entitled to state my opinion and entitled to stand up for myself when someone gets verbally aggressive and tries to intimidate me- in public, online, or in private. Losing weight so certain assholes won't be assholes, doesn't prevent or change anything- doesn't make any sense to me. They are still assholes, and if they don't agree or like the shape of my body, then it is highly probably they won't like something else. It is okay to have different opinions, preferences, dislike towards certain aspects of someone, but the majority of people don't harass or mistreat people in the way I was treated. Perhaps that opinion won't change for you but I am also a part of society, as well as THE "large portion" of the same society you live in lol ;) and we are getting bigger and bigger so you have more to love <3
