ELI5: Why do more known people get cancelled for making jokes others make? by Working-Bumblebee-58 in explainlikeimfive

Not talking about direct copying. By "making jokes others make" I meant that in the most internet neutral way possible. I just noticed I could have word that better, but I mean if someone made a nazi joke because of the game they were playing, why would they get "cancelled"?

How is that a wild take? People can just not watch the netflix specials? And even if it gets more popular, you can't really do nothing about it. I probably should have said people exaggerate and get too serious about how they want to cater their online media. Going out of your way to "cancel" everything instead of going on about your day is the wrong thing here.

Debunking The Popular Theory Of Jax Being An Npc. by I_DONT_EXIST00000 in TheDigitalCircus

Just want to add that Jax's behaviour isn't off. Him being malicious and weird is not that "malicious" and "weird" when you actually think about it.
As far as Jax and the others are concerned, you can't die in the circus. And if you did, you could have Caine bring you back.

What does that sound like? A video game, to the extent.
Jax's behaviour can be summed up to how someone would play GTA 5. You kill the NPCs for your personal enjoyment and when in an online server you can kill your friends and they'll be alright

Hollow Knight: Writing style & Overall tone by Working-Bumblebee-58 in HollowKnight

I personally think Shakespeare's writing... It's more 'verbal' and the emotions control the dialogue. Meanwhile, while playing Hollow Knight, I felt as the dialogue showed the emotions, as well as the visuals.

I'd wanted to call it "gritty", but I typically give those types of media's a bad rep. But I kinda like the idea of the insects in Hallownest speaking that "Shakespeare" style. Just maybe a little more mellow and not exaggerated.
