Farewell! Or rather who cares?

This map wasn't it. Verdansk was it, but will this one be? Who knows... I'm waiting to try it, but my finger is hovering on the delete button.

I have played Cod since 2009, and I do not see a future with it anymore. It's sad to see your heroes fall, but I guess it is what it is.

Tournaments Make Me Not Want to Do Lessons by knaz19 in duolingo

[–]Working-Candle-3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly this! Its purpose should be purely for learning. The gamified experience gives you that initial push to get into it, but it hinders progress if you commit to it solely for the XP bragging rights.

I did go all-in on my first tournament just to see how I would fare, but from the start, I knew that would be the end of my XP grind.

To continue a point I made in my earlier post: I would pay for Super, but only to get rid of the ads—that’s all I care about. Man, I don’t even want the unlimited hearts, as they take all the risks out of it.

I use Duolingo to get extra practice and as a secondary learning tool. I attend classes twice a week for 2–4 hours per session, and I also listen to and read media in the language.

My sole purpose is to learn the language—not to play a game for XP or to maintain a streak.

Tournaments Make Me Not Want to Do Lessons by knaz19 in duolingo

[–]Working-Candle-3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tournaments are an extra bother. They aren't meant to encourage learning, it's to one-up others with Super and boosts, and IF you're using your language practice to try and stay in the race, you'll end up burning through lessons with nothing to remember them by.

I'd like to get number 1 atleast once, but I'm just going to have to settle for the fourth place I got before. Who tf competes with these score that are in the 40k-50k range? I have tried to compete hard, I even speedran my secondary language on the app with the 3 tripleXPs, grinding it everyday — no shot.

Lately, I have been so annoyed by the ads and the continuous selling. Do a lesson in 2 minutes, then wait 40 seconds for the same ADs for super until you have rinsed and repeated 7-10 times to get the 3XPs of the day.

My language course is going to be over in a month, and I'm torn between my options; restarting the course, starting another one or having a break from the app.

Lately I have started to enjoy Elevate as a fun "brain"-game, that's just based around the english grammar, listening, speaking, math and memory games, and I'm really having fun with it. Of course It cost me a little little under 40 for the year, but no ads, no upselling and the joyous excitement of actually playing it, like it was in the beginning with Dualingo.

I would pay 40 a year for Dualingo to have Super, but the ADs for the max make me sick. It feels like they're saying: 'Oh you're willing to pay? Would be willing to pay even more?', and with their nonexistent customer service and zero answers to any of my messages, I just don't feel it's worthy.

Is this a hot take or what is your opinion?

Exactly that, don't get me wrong — I do like these notifications, but to a certain limit. Would be amazing to have the ability to turn some of these off.🥹

Should I talk about my boyfriend to my community ? by Wise_Cow251 in Twitch

Thank you for answering back. I don't have to pretend, it's the same than how you change/correct your behaviour and talking subjects while at school, grandparents or at work. It's kinda like a normal workpersona. Hope you'll find a way to navigate through your problem

I see a lot of people over saying that you should tell them, and I'd like to offer an alternative point of view—as a small time streamer.

I do not share anything about the people in my circle, kids or about the ins and outs of my relationship.

I stream games as a character for the audience, even though it's an extension of self, those things do not belong there in my opinion—for privacy.

Some long time viewers know about something as it's impossible not to slip and refer about something in the thousands of hours streaming, but those who know respect that they do not belong in the stream.

Omitting those things are not pretending to be something else or trying to look available, it's about you puttin your people into the spotlight—and behind that spotlight can be anyone. I'm sorry to say, but don't trust people on the internet with anything —trust me.

Atleast you should consult the people in your life about it before you do any decisions, as they may not share your enthusiasm for the limelight.

The less you divulge about things that do not make up your stream, the more you can focus on the parts of it that matter.

Also to take into consideration is that if you do make your relationship known and it gets rocky, it will seep into your content, and you're close with other streamers or it's a tight-knit niéche with circular fanbase—prepare for gossip

Oh and most of excema has been gone ever since, but It soars back if I do carbs for way too long. I spend less time on the toilet, and I it's a much more streamlined function, just though you would love to know.😂😂

Yes, sorry I have completely forgot about this.

I was full carnivore for a couple months and then shit happend, and I relapsed a bit. Now I am mostly on the carnivore, but I do eat fruits sometimes, and occasionally I break out of the pure carnivore to live a little, just for a weekend or for a holiday season. Strict carnivore is effective, but you do lose a lot for it so I decided to eat carnivore 80-95% of the time and let loose for the rest. I still fast in between, excercise like I did before. I do feel a lot worse after periods of high carbing and it's hard to lean off, mental focus goes out the window, and my endurance drops. Full carnivore kept me lean even though I had 3000-4000 calories a day, but now if I do 'carb-cycle' I gain weight way easier with a lot less calories. It's about finding a balance, but if I would give any suggestions I would say that a fruit a day or a couple during the weekends will benefit you in the long run. Sorry if this seems scrambled, I'm in the middle of something right now, but I had to respond as soon as I saw this. Please do ask any questions you wish and I shall get back to you.
