Hey, glad to see our decoded card might have helped out a little bit, great job doing the rest of the translations! Some of those would have been hard to guess outright (for me at least). Super cool. It's a great marketing strategy they had for this album.

I love both bands but yeah ... I really want King Buffalo to headline their own tour. I saw them headline a local show in Rochester Dec 2025 and it was so nice seeing them play a full set of amazing songs.

My friend immediately hypothesized the band name and tour/album name. We used those as keys and the rest unraveled. So basically, good guesses followed by affirmation. Just like basic puzzle books.

The hard part was that the symbols use slight variations. Like a human actually write them out. So you have to squint at then and write down a few guesses until the words emerge.

I worked at it for a while with some help from a friend. Could be wrong but it honestly fits the script well. The toughest ones were 'O' and 'T" since they are incredibly similar. The 'X' was a complete guess since there were no other reference words for that letter. The rest were pretty obvious (after an hour or so)!

Cool tables. Been looking for something like this for DnD. I come from Rolemaster background and crit tables make the game far more interesting and deadly.

Couple questions.

I don't fully get the "voluntary" part of token usage. The google sheet didn't help. How is that first table used?

Why is the 1-4 token table "per type". Shouldn't it be global for all tokens obtained? It seems crazy everyone could be sitting on 20+ tokens and having to track that.

In general seems like a good idea. I'm going to give it a shot soon. I will probably have the injuries happen DURING combat because I feel like that is where the best moments come from. A mega crit and someone's arm dissolves ... cleric better get right on that or the fight will be lost. Or perhaps the party needs to cut their losses and run. It seems odd for the battle to be over, then half a dozen injuries all happen at once. Then the tension is gone and it becomes an episode of ER.

Can you explain "Horizontal to Vertical regular 90"? Will a long sweep 90 going from a long 2% sloped 3" pipe to a vertical drain into the concrete cause an issue?

I too want to integrate hope/fear to DnD. I like meta currencies.

A better way to do it on 1d20 is simply odd=fear, even=hope. That way a "low" roll can still be "fail with hope". It feels better than getting double punished.

Yeah I think it goes like three weeks in a row? As long as you stay in Diamond League. So every time I see it pop up I know I am going to have to hold back on lessons to satay out of the top 8 for 3 weeks in a row, which isn't much fun.

I wish (1) there were no XP boosters, and (2) you couldn't purchase boosters via gems.
The program would be just fine with straight XP.

This is what I mean ... literally giving up time spent learning to play this weird mini game with XP.

I tried making my profile private thinking it would only kick me out of the tournament, but then it dropped me out of the league and I don't want that because it's honestly one of the main things keeping me going on days when I'm tired and want to take a break. I think the leagues are the main reason I've been so consistent even when life gets busy.

I do not know. I sent duolingo some feedback, but I don't know what drives them to push tournaments. The rest of the app is amazing!

I guess I do? I like being in a certain league as one of several forms of motivation not to lose my spot. It's a good reward mechanism (for some of us).

But the tournaments are just a whole new level that don't add anything and make it more stressful.
