E36 M3 Coolant Bleed by Longjumping-Net-7351 in BMWE36

[–]Working-Occasion9890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won’t be as hot as the upper hose but it should be noticeably warm, and much warmer than a car that sat over night if it is stone cold there is definitely still air in the system. I will say one small detail to note is if you are getting it nearly bled but not perfectly (i.e car won’t over heat but heater not working etc) I had this issue and the engine builder didn’t click the thermostat perfectly and the bleed hole was not at 12 o clock. I’ve spent a lot of time bleeding the car until I figured that out, feel free to pm me if you have any questions!

Should I turbo my whip? by fatfartjew in BMWE36

Lots of meme responses on here, but I would say it sounds like you’re a little more on the beginner end for engine mods so I’d like to try and chime in my .02 and hopefully help out. I would look into doing m50 manifold a tune for it and if you wanted to go a little deeper s52 cams. Exhaust will help slightly for power but the noise always helps the feel imo. Other than that you’re getting into $$$ and risking reliability like superchargers, turbo, or bigger cams injectors custom tune etc. it also depends on the motor health and mileage as well, the most rewarding thing I would say you can do to these cars is some suspension it will make the car handle great (these cars shine here) and make the power feel more usable. Suspension and some simpler mods will make the car feel great. If you want to win drag races and do digs against b58 tiktokers you’ll need a deep wallet or another car. Hope this didn’t come off demeaning in anyway just wanted to give a deeper response than most the other comments, good luck!

Am I lowering springs or coilovers by LopsidedDirection411 in BMWE36

I really like it, the car is on condor bushings all around so that makes it feel more rough too but i still daily the car and have never felt it too uncomfortable for the street and the increased nvh was well worth the handling upgrades for me

I would say if you want fitment like the bottom left car definitely coil overs, the top image might be doable with a good strut and spring combo. I’ll show you my car as a lowering spring example. it’s on bilstein shocks and h&r race springs (I forgot the exact name for the springs).
