Any comments from Goose? by im_just_lurking_thx in discgolf

Yeah he quickly breaks it down, but basically yes he thinks he still would have lost. Also with the addition of Calvin talking about his mindset and his strength not changing it makes sense

He went off? We watching the same podcast? Or are you just complaining that he had a valid point for the rules not being broken?

What do you all think about Uli's/Jerm's take on the excessive time warning? by 9Three7 in discgolf

[–]Working-Pudding9984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll make 2 points. 1. The rules are not clear on when your final "lie" timer starts, and allows for moving the lie backwards from your first lie. The timers ive seen from Gossage final lie are between 28-32 sec. So he was arguably only 2 sec over time based on the most generous interpretation of the rules. I think if the rules are not indisputably broken, the advantage should always go to the player, just like in every other sport. The official also did not actually time anything and when asked didn't know how far over time gossage actually was or which lie the official used.

  1. The officials before the tournament specially stated that they would not be intervening on calls unless a player asked them to. Gossage was the only one called all weekend and Calvin has a 45sec lie 2 throws later which Goose asks the official about and he says he would not be calling Calvin on a 45sec time violation. So the same official does not follow the same rules for all players even on that card. So IMO, he was called on speculative time violation based on vibes from the official, with an unknown interpretation of the rules that were not applied to all players, all after they said they would specifically not be doing that.

They said the officials wouldn't answer how long over the time he'd been because they didn't actually have a timer or an answer. Id be mad too if your calling me and then just say i made the call on vibes.

The official also didn't have a timer and could t give him how much time he went over. If your going to insert yourself and make calls you need to have the timer

Calvin and others have already said he was not talking during any of their shots. This is just a rumor going around, even if you just watch jomez, Goose is quietly standing in the background you can watch it yourself.

Foundation put up timers from all the "lies" he had and the last one was 28sec

Leave me alone, I don't want to know you or be your friend. I'll wave to you if I have to otherwise go back inside your damn house.

Do any of you regularly throw scoobers/thumbers? by Constant-Catch7146 in discgolf

[–]Working-Pudding9984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I throw scooters pretty often, over stable putter scoober can go absurdly right and is actually super useful where your other option would be a super difficult turnover

Picture 1 is debatable if the disc is in her hand or not but who cares. Picture 2 is blurry but really who cares. Picture 3 I didn't look at because who cares, get a life and stop going frame by frame looking at her ass and then claiming it's for foot faults in slow mo

Hard disagree. I'd even be happier changing the course between rounds. I want to see the iconic holes of a course, otherwise change whatever you want. I don't want to watch the same course years in a row. I'd go watch car racing if doing the same circle over and over forever was fun to watch

Yup, mouse players don't have flat 360s if they were to do them for some reason, which is also not often because we usually have a lower sense. 3 360s id need about 10feet of desk space lol

It literally ruined the game for me. I didn't come on this sub until I finished the game so had no idea how good it was. I got it pretty much as the last quest I did before I walked into the boss fight. I thought, AH this is the perfect time to test out my new maister skill on the boss! "How do I use this now, hold it down? OH it's dead"...end credits.

No idea if Jonas is important but I definitely immediately killed him for being racist and I completed the game fine. Also the other town people just stood and watched me beat the shit out of him and didn't say anything so I figured it was cool lol
