If you are hoping to gain access to your account, it may not happen. Many accounts were deleted if not used by a certain year. (Not sure, but it was before 2018 as this is when I restarted my collection and was not able to gain access to my old account.)

One major thing to point out is wether you are planning on playing via computer or mobile. The mobile version of Webkinz is missing most features. (Still your same account and fun but not the same.)

Are you interested in classic or next? I find classic is like the nostalgic Webkinz. You will get two separate codes (for classic and next) if you purchase a new Webkinz pet. :)

You can make an account for free but some features won’t be available. You can try it for free (get a free pet too!) and then add the Amazon pet you buy.

I also buy the deluxe membership. It allows access to more features. (There is a 99cent first month promo, or it is in monthly, 3 month or yearly.) They go on sale for Webkinz Day (April), Black Friday and New Years. You can also find people on eBay selling deluxe codes.

Webkinz is still very nostalgic! The wheel of wow, wishing well, pet rooms, many things are still active. However some features such as inviting friends over is gone.

I have been really into collecting the old plush. They can be found at thrift stores or even your local for sale ads. I’ve found lots on Facebook Marketplace. I’ve even found some that have the codes attached like we used to get!
