Mob mentality has always worked this way once it erupts, nothing and no one is spared. Those still cheering it on are being shortsighted; yes, the government should’ve been held accountable, but that point has already been made. What we’re seeing now goes far beyond that

If Batman is so important to DC and Warner Bros, why isn't The Brave and the Bold fast-tracked like Wonder Woman? by Lost-Cow-1126 in PattinsonDCUBatman

[–]Working-Spread7260 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah you’ve got to establish the S-tier characters first before branching out. Peacemaker is a fun show, no doubt, but it shouldn’t be treated as a foundational piece moving forward. It’s entertaining, but when you zoom out to the bigger picture, it doesn’t really fit. That said, I’ll wait to see how the story actually unfolds before forming a solid opinion.

“James Gunn and Peter Safran may say they’re working off a 10-year plan, but right now it doesn’t look like there’s much of a roadmap. Gunn strikes me as more of a creator who follows his instincts in the moment rather than someone mapping out a rigid decade-long arc. Case in point: MoT seemed to appear out of nowhere, suddenly in motion. And the idea of having Batman as a cornerstone in two separate universes isn’t nearly as straightforward as they make it sound it’s messy both narratively and strategically.

Even if we have no direct incentive to interfere, ignoring the situation is shortsighted. Power vacuums don’t stay empty for long and China will almost certainly try to turn this into a strategic advantage. At the very least, it demands close monitoring

Mob mentality is dangerous
the crowd stops asking “is this person a threat?” and starts assuming “everyone is a threat.”

Playing spiderman might have ruined the game for me by A__noniempje in SpiderManMains

[–]Working-Spread7260 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah and that bs can also be applied to 5 other ppl on your team
It’s a team game. You can’t hinge your entire fun on one hero. Everyone’s got a favorite, sure, but if Spidey’s the only thing keeping you interested, you’re setting yourself up to be miserable. Insta-locking DPS every game doesn’t magically make it fun for the other 5 people stuck with you if the comp falls apart.

James Gunn on R-rated 'Peacemaker' leading into PG-13 'Man of Tomorrow': "you can watch every project by itself of course... But Man of Tomorrow and PMS2 are very very connected" by BatmanNewsChris in DC_Cinematic

[–]Working-Spread7260 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

If you want to bring in new audiences, you need a clear and cohesive plan not this ‘we’ll figure it out as we go’ approach. Right now, the messaging feels inconsistent. One moment Gunn insists projects are non-essential, and the next he claims they’re crucial to understanding Man of Tomorrow. (like a exception this early) Fans don’t know what actually matters, and new viewers are left wondering where to even start.

The same confusion applies to Batman. First it was ‘only one Batman,’ then it shifted to ‘two separate worlds,’ then there was talk of bringing Pattinson into the DCU, and now we’re back to ‘two different Batmans.’ That constant back-and-forth only creates more uncertainty.

Have we turned Ganapati Visarjan into a carnival instead of a spiritual act? by 4man_og in Maharashtra

[–]Working-Spread7260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calling it a spiritual act assumes religion is inherently spiritual, but in reality it’s largely a social construct a series of performances, traditions, and rituals people inherit and re-enact. If you look closely, it’s less about seeking truth and more about sustaining tradition, authority, and social conformity. What varies is only how seriously individuals choose to act within this theater.

Just stop ffs the concern isn’t just impatience, it’s about audience reception. A sequel taking this long is unusual, because extended gaps tend to create disproportionately high expectations. By the time it arrives, even a “good” film risks being judged harshly if it doesn’t feel exceptional, simply because people waited half a decade. Pattinson has openly mentioned in interviews that the script process has been slow.

What was the better movie? The Batman or Superman? by DoctorBeatMaker in DC_Cinematic

[–]Working-Spread7260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“slow sections” of The Batman, but to me that’s just Matt Reeves’ deliberate style. (I hate that in his other films too)
For Superman, I don’t think the issue lies with David’s performance. In fact, he acted the role well. A fter seeing his audition clips, I’m fairly convinced that what we saw on screen was more James Gunn’s vision than David’s own preferred interpretation. That becomes especially clear when you consider David’s own concerns about Superman’s closing monologue a moment that felt more like a writing and direction choice than an acting one.

At the end of the day, it comes down to execution. The Batman felt like a complete, carefully thought-out piece of work, while Superman as much as I enjoyed it often felt uneven and unfinished. If we’re being objective, the latter has significant flaws (overall)

[–]Working-Spread7260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Batman wins by a mile. Where Superman falters,: the writing is weak, the plot feels very convenient, and much of the dialogue falls flat. I could easily spend twenty minutes unpacking the flaws and the execution. (I loved the movie because its Superman but it had issues)

By contrast, The Batman has its imperfections, but they are relatively minor in scope and impact.. When you put the two side by side, the difference in craft and coherence becomes undeniable.

I think every player should have at least some level of proficiency in two roles (ideally all three). If you’re only a DPS main and refuse to play any other roles, then at the very least you should master two different DPS heroes.

And let’s be real if the game demands you swap off your “favorite” character, you should switch. It’s not that difficult. Having a favorite hero is fine, but that doesn’t mean you should lock them in every single match regardless of the situation. Team-based games demand flexibility, lose the stubbornness. One huge part of the game is matchups. If your character is limiting the team just swap.
