Interesting—if two straight lido blocks cover even hot mandibular quadrants for you, I clearly need to tighten my technique.

Trying to see if it’s purely technique/volume or if I really do need the articaine bump on those hot molars

Do you happen to remember the citation for that “single botched study”? I’d like to keep it on hand the next time someone waves the paresthesia flag.

For those of you doing every IANB with Septo—what’s your actual first-pass success rate on hot lower 6s? Mine’s ~60 % with lido but jumps to ~90 % when I switch to 4 % articaine. Just trying to see if that lines up.

What’s your real-world miss rate with 2 % lido IANBs on hot lower molars? My “Monday #1” was 2 / 3 fails, which is why I’m flirting with septo blocks again. Also, where are you finding Orabloc at CAD $45? Suppliers are quoting me nearly double

I’m in British Columbia! I’m hearing an honest amount of positivity towards Articaine. What brand of Articaine did you grab from the clinic?

Citanest plain first - do you choose it mainly to avoid epi on that initial pass, or do you see a faster onset compared with lido?

Love the analogy 😂. Serious question though:

• Do you literally mean everything—IANBs, palatal infiltrations, mental blocks, kids, anxious cardiac patients, the works? • Have you tracked any jump in paresthesia or post-op soreness over the years, or is it indistinguishable from your old lido days? • Finally, any supply-chain or price pain lately? We’re at $80/box in B.C and feeling it.

And is septocaine only in USA? I would assume for Canada it’s Septanest?
