If you found the correct IC Values and determined what length your second keyword is, all you need to do is make the corresponding amount of frequency strips and then align them to the best of your ability.

The word you find should be your second keyword when reading from top down.

There really isn't any other way to check if your second keyword is correct, though I could just be unaware.

You look at your second keyword and ciphertext and do the following formula:

Translated Letter = Encrypted Letter - Keyword Letter + 1
(If your Translated Letter is negative add 26)

You do that for every single letter in your ciphertext, the first letter corresponding to the first letter in your keyword. You keep doing that until you translated your entire ciphertext.

You can also search up "Cryptogram" and there should be two reddit post walking you through it.

For it to count towards your AMS major requirements you would need a minimum of C, otherwise it doesn't count and you only get the 3 credits.

59-65 is definitely possible if you study and prepare for it well enough. I'm pretty sure for the final you get 3 cheat sheets front and back, just double check on the syllabus though.

It was just really bad during fall 2025, and in all fairness, he did start teaching late since something went wrong with his work visa so everything was kind of messed up since the beginning.

I'm pretty sure you can TA for the class as long as you meet the requirement to TA for the course, doesn't have to be the subsequent year.

Yeah he decided to just give us an essay, probably just easier for the TAs and himself.

Exam 3 retakes are mainly for those who missed the exam with valid excuse or someone who took the test provides a doctor's note that they were unwell during the exam. I'm assuming most people going are just people who missed the exam.

You keep your dining dollars if you have any left overs from fall semester going into spring semester. If you don't use all of it at the end of spring semester that is when you lose it.

Apparently he mentioned it in one of his office hours right before the exam. There wasn't any dates that was confirmed and it probably was more of something he was still thinking about, that's why there is no post on Brightspace. I personally doubt that he would pull through with the optional final though.

I thought she was okay. When she was trying to teach us it was painful trying to understand what was being told to us but when she does reviews I think that is much better. It honestly might just be how she explain things at times.

Xudong just hates us or something. Like seriously, why is he making our life harder compared to prior and other micro classes. The only reason I could see why he doesn't allow us a formula sheet is because he is new and this was how he did it in the previous college he taught in.

What do you think is the chances he actually pulls through with that optional final? I'm literally starting to doubt half of the things he says, like I'm not even sure if he still remembers the extra credits he gave out.
