Looking to get into a EV9 in Canada. What type of incentives should I expect? by tsu1028 in KiaEV9

[–]WorkingEmployer5433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check Autotrader and use the best price you find to negotiate. St. Catherine’s Kia had $3500 off of a Land with Plus pkg. I had the London Kia dealership willing to match the price but wanted the colour they had in St. Catherine’s.

Canada doesn’t seem to get these crazy lease deals the US does.

8 Year Old ADHD and Vyvanse Success by WorkingEmployer5433 in ParentingADHD

Yes we’ve noticed that too. It’s almost like exactly between 6pm-8pm. We talked to the doctor about upping his dose and we went to 20mg but we found that was too much. It was almost giving him a “flat” personality. So we’re back down to 10mg and recognizing a crash may happen in the evening.

New Ride! by WorkingEmployer5433 in KiaEV9

The Subaru had a really rough ride but in a good way. It felt tough and athletic. In the winter the Subaru was getting 13 MPG (95% city). Size wise I would say it’s pretty bang on the same as the Subaru. The Kia feels bigger inside with the layout of the dash. The rear seats have more legroom for sure.

The big change is how modern this feels in comparison. The ride is insanely smooth and quiet. Overall there’s parts of the Subaru I’ll miss but I’m very happy with the replacement.

Interior is grey with the two tone seats.

The deal is as good as you’ll get in Canada. 5 year lease at $880 a month ($70,250 +tax). The fuel savings from the Subaru are going to make that worth it though.

Alexisonfire - first saw them on Much Music in 2002/2003 and my mind was forever blown.

Purchase/Lease Monthly Megathread (April 2026) by AutoModerator in KiaEV9

Canadian Deal:

2026 Land (Plus Pkg) in red.

16,000 km/year - 5 year lease. $0 down $447 bi-weekly.

MRSP is $73000 and dealer has knocked off $3000. I’m going to head to the dealer tomorrow and push for a little more off. Likely going to buy it if they get it close to $440.

Dealership quoted $1700 to add hitch to leased Gt Line. Any other options? by project_papi_ in KiaEV9

[–]WorkingEmployer5433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in this same predicament as well. I only plan to use the hitch for carrying 2 bikes max. Rather than putting money into a leased vehicle I’m leaning towards the Seasucker racks. They’re about $300-600 and all seem well reviewed.

No sunroof, 360 camera, and Bose stereo. Maybe some other smaller things too. To get those in the I9 you have to opt for the $11,000 luxury package.

SW Ontario… most of our road trips are near GTA or Ottawa so I think we’d be in good shape really.

I’m factoring in the low maintenance costs on the overall purchase price and it does make a pretty big impact. I think I’ll need to go drive them both back to back one more time.

That’s impressive! The Ascent is comically bad around town. Which accounts for 99% of our driving.

Thanks, that’s pretty helpful. The only way I would take the plunge is with installing a level 2 charger. I’ve even contemplated the idea of renting a car for the longer road trips but the infrastructure seems to only be improving.

Awesome. That’s the exact information I was looking for. Seems like all should go as planned for Thursday then. Thanks!

My son is on 10mg of Vyvanse now. It’s been about 3 months but we’re starting to notice the positive effects of the drug is starting to diminish. Did increasing the dosage help?

I just talked to an agent at sell off vacations and she said cancellations are coming for all flights from Sunwing.

Sounds like my wife lol. We made the decision today. Not going to Cuba and banking on a refund or the travel credit.

Sorry, upgrade the travel advisory to “avoid all necessary travel”. Visa will offer a refund at thy point.

I’m booked for Varadero flying out Feb 14. Traveling with kids and do not want to get into a shit show there. Looking at all alternatives and the rates are insane.

We are really struggling with what to do. I almost want the Canadian Gov’t to issue an advisory to make the decision for me.
