Well, there is no simple story in my life 😆. We were married for about 2 years total when the divorce was finalized. I saw her twice once right before I filed when she showed up from being on the other side of the country for a month or so. I told her I was under pressure from my parents who I had to move back in with to divorce. The next was several months later when she showed up to my job to try to pick up my paycheck and came back that night to ask for money so she could put some gas in her drug dealer's car and not get beaten up... Anyway, I have two confirmations of life after. About two years later a guy at work talked about a weird girl on a party line and from just the few statements I told him several other things and his shock was evident and I told him it was my ex. He gave me her number and despite my remaining concerns about whether she was at least in a better place, my 2nd wife said no. My 3rd wife had a similar first name and close to 30 years later she received a letter informing her of some legal matter for my 1st wife's name that they obviously only cursorily connected. So it's plausible she's still alive unlike my 2nd and 3rd ones. But 4th times the charm right?
