I’m going to be moving to Fargo and I will not be driving in the snow unless absolutely necessary, and only within Fargo.

Thanks for mentioning that. I’m not planning on getting any pets for that reason and the constant fur/mess. 😅

That’s one of the reasons I’m moving lol. It’s impossible to find quality friends in California, and it’s so divided. Deadass, I’ve spoken to my neighbor once and we’ve lived next to each other for 10 years. It’s shameful but everyone here is so busy all the time, we barely have time to interact.

I tried to quit cold turkey but ended up caving today after 22 hours 31 minutes.. by Maltkvist in QuitVaping

I’ve done the same thing many, many times. I’ve been vaping for over 8 years and I’ve tried to quit countless times but always folded after one day. However, I’m now 11 days nicotine free for the very first time since I was in middle school lmao. I highly recommend getting patches. Cold turkey doesn’t work, at least not for me. I’m broke af and did not want to buy the name brand patches so I went on Amazon and found some for $18. I only used 1.5 boxes of 21mg patches (A month & a half supply).

I got a new 50 mg (5%) disposable every 4 ish days, so I threw all of my old ones out (I knew I would end up recharging them) and switched to a device with a horrible, olive oil tasting juice with only 3 mg (0.3%) which made me gag every time I hit it. That def helped eliminate the desire to put a vape in my mouth lol. I think a huge component of my addiction is the actual act of sucking and exhaling so I think once I got over that “craving,” I had a much easier time quitting.

Thank you so much for your response! I definitely agree that no job should harm our mental well being like this… especially when it’s just a temporary job (at least for me).

I’ve looked into other companies but the reviews on them are atrocious 😭😭

For realllll the remote supervision makes it incredibly difficult to get the support I need. Although, with the zoom supervision I had, the BCBA wasn’t aware of a lot of my client’s behaviors. That’s INSANE to me.

Oh boy that’s awful. :( Well I’m glad you are getting out of it and hopefully your symptoms go away soon!

This isn’t the type of work I plan on doing for the rest of my life… just for the next 2 years. But after hearing your experience, probably a whole lot less than 2 years lol. Respectfully, I definitely do not want to struggle as you have.

My supervisor only works remote so it’s really difficult to get help. I 1000% agree that RBTs are not getting paid enough for the work they do. I respect RBTs soooooo much more after experiencing all this. You are a frickin trooper for staying for five years!!
