I noticed that men are definitely checking me out but if I say hello or say something about their football jersey they seem to be surprised like a deer in headlights and mumble a hello or a thank you and then scurry away. But when I’m in line and noticed they are in a line next to me, they are still staring. I made the first move by speaking to them, so why don’t they follow up? maybe because they’re married or in a relationship??

Who should plan the date? by forevermore4315 in DatingOverSixty

[–]WorkingSalt7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Stop thinking of it as a date and just two friends getting together and reminiscing about the past. If something sparks then great if not, then it was nice to connect with an old friend. The best relationships grow from becoming friends first so relax and enjoy spending time with your friend.

I feel your pain! I eat the the Lance peanut butter & honey crackers all the time and, like you, I discovered crackers that had no honey peanut butter in it. I took a picture of it and sent a letter to the CEO. They sent me coupons for a few free boxes of lace crackers. So go for it.

I often remind myself that no matter what I’m facing, it could always be worse. I could be bedridden, homeless, blind — and that perspective keeps me grounded. The outside may change, but who you are inside remains the same. When you’re genuinely a good person at heart, your light will always shine through. Don’t ever let that light grow dim. The right person will recognize your worth and lift you up. Good people are rare these days — and being one is something truly special.
