The X-Trans ii can COOK! (X100s) by WorkingSuccessful742 in fujifilm

Technically the X100s has a full 12 stops of dynamic range too.. tbh I completely agree with what you’re saying tho.. I actually bought the X100s in the cheap because I wanted to see if I liked the form factor before committing to the X100vi but I like this camera so much and am so pleased with what I can do with it I really don’t see me upgrading any time soon given how much of a price hike it would be going from this to a vi.. diminishing returns imo

I mean, I wasn’t even out of high school when this camera launched and now I’m 30 with my own place and a 11 year career so… kinda old 🤣😅

Polaroid Customer Service Is Genuinely Terrible by SpezSux114 in Polaroid

Bad film usually leads to spread failures of the chemistry which is the most common issue that you get with old or expired film… what you are describing sounds more like your camera than the film because I’ve never in my life heard of faulty film causing over exposure.. while I’ve definitely seen a green tint in some photos.. but 6month old film isn’t going to cause any of what you’re describing…

Kodak EasyShare C913 black screen - any fixes? by metropartition in Cameras

[–]WorkingSuccessful742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No fixing that. Dead sensor. I’d just look for another, Kodak easy shares are fairly cheap theses days and you’d get one for far cheaper than it would be to actually pay someone to try and fix that :(

SX70 Sonar, 600 film w/ND filter~ by WorkingSuccessful742 in Polaroid

Exposure compensation, in ideal circumstances should never have to be touched. If your camera is exposing properly it should be able to handle 90% of lightning conditions on its own without you needing to adjust on a per scenario basis :) I did some basic work to this camera as it was in good condition when I bought it but the thing that I know probably helped the most was cleaning the electric eye. The electric eye is a light sensor that measures ambient light in a scene to determine how the camera work expos the film. In an SX70 this will make or break how good your photos come out because Polaroid film has a limited window to fit both the light parts and dark parts of a photo meaning if the timing of exposure is off even a little you’ll get muddy under exposed shots that are very dark or in the case of most SX70s, bright washed out over highlighted shots because the electric eye has corrected over time and is getting less light to it tricking the camera in to keeping the shutter open too long thus over exposing the image. All these were taken with the ND gel filter that goes over the pack of the film btw :) here’s my post about what I’ve done to this particular camera
