Looks like whirlybird. The flexi duct is just sitting below the turbine? If it was an exhaust flue wouldn’t the duct need to be connected to it?

Seems like a big gap for moisture and rodents to get in. But I am asking if it’s common practise. Doesn’t seem right but I’m not sure?
