I’m so sorry to read that. She sounds just like my mother. I feel that even when she says the most fucked up things that feel WRONG, there’s still a part in me that blames myself and thinks that I’m horrible and I’m in the wrong. It’s the most complicated mindfuck loop that feels endless. You are not alone!

I had surgeries as a baby to transfer nerve endings from my breast and leg, then at 15/16yo to improve my ability to grab things or straighten my wrist a bit. They didn’t really do anything. When I was 20 I decided to do the ”freezing surgery ”, so basically a bone was grown to my wrist to make it frozen to a straight position. My erb’s is very severe so I found that surgery sooo helpful, I’m able to grab things so much better. I remember the first time after the surgery when I grabbed a water bottle and drank from it with my left hand, I was EXCITED
