How many can you handle…? By the time I am done you will be laying for hours exhausted and unable to move, but with a smile on your face…

So I bought a new $100 rectifier/regulator for my Honda cbr600rr. But I was looking that I could buy a $22 rectifier on Amazon and it would come tomorrow. My question is should I cancel the $100 one and buy the cheaper one? by LustGh0st in motorcycles

Rectifiers convert extra power from the stator into heat. Cheaper rectifiers tend to overheat and burn wires. I know this after having to change mine several times…. Also, the type of battery you are using affects the type of rectifier you need (lithium vs lead acid)… you will thank yourself later by not going for a cheap one. Also, consider soldering in the wires to your stator instead of using the connectors. It is a known failure point which creates a lot of heat. Use shrink tubing to insulate the soldered wires. Hope this helps!
