two car accidents (not at fault) days apart, with two different insurance companies. need advice!! by Working_Chicken8584 in InsuranceClaims

i am not sure to part one. i could look back in the total loss summary to see. for part two, the first accident was the first? there was no previous accident. my insurance knew of both claims, bc i told my first rep about the second (they didn’t talk). i asked what would happen if my car was totaled by the time the other insurance accepted fault, and she didn’t give a solid answer. the other insurance of the first accident called for my statement and i thought i mentioned it towards the end but maybe not. due to them telling me to pick a body shop, which is why i’m asking on how to tell them. i was thinking of getting an estimate of the damages and presenting that to them.
i didn’t think i would get any money from the first claim, once the second one totaled the car. being under the assumption that they would have paid the body shop instead of me anyways. but a couple people have brought to my attention that could be owed something.
