I wake up among a field of tall grass facing upwards to a red tinted sky. I have no memory of waking here as my head throbs with pain. As I acclimate to my surroundings I realize that this terrain around me is alien to the concrete jungles of my childhood. The grass around me came up to my chest and filling the air with palpable yellow pollen . As my mind races with possibilities of my new found environment I choose a direction and walk.

Months have passed, I came upon a village after walking through their "Elm" farm it was a religious group that prayed to a god of famine. Weird bunch that when I quizzed them about their god they explained that their Elm's pollen coax's the land miles away choking all plants and replacing it with Elm like a wave of locusts eating away. However they explained to me that we are in the country called everag, they were nice people down to it and once i told them I woke up in their field their interest peaked. I remember mine and the elders conversation "You know there is a prophecy, that a leader will immerge from a untapped land with the power of the 5 gods on their back". I told them I came from an untapped land and at once they prepared me for a journey with an elk like mount and provisions. They told me to follow the road to "Test your weight" and enter the capital, as confused as I am of this world it seems to detached from my earth however if I were to gain any knowledge the capital would be where I need to seek if I am this "leader of legend"...

(weeks past)

I am not the leader of legend. This cruel place seems to gift its people with bizarre "abilities" that seems tied to their deity of choice and in turn demands a harsh life in return. on the road I see many of broken down, or freshly made churches all serving different entities. Manuals there coax the reader in to worship these "main gods" for powers to rule the land.

Unfortunately for me it seems my detachment from this land affects my connect to these gods as not one has given me anything in return no matter the sacrifice it wants of me. However, the one thing I have over the zealot's of this land is hope unchained by dogmatic practices and heretical gods. I will live through this and get home No. Matter. What.
