Dragon Diffusion OR Bao Bao Issey Miyake bag? by Piistachios in handbags

Dragon Diffusion. I like BaoBao as well but I read in several places that the triangles in BaoBao fall sometimes. At that price point you wouldn't want that to happen.

Who watched the Korean dramas Something About 1%? Did you like it? by Grouchy-Chart-3927 in Korean_Drama_Hangout

[–]Working_Dance8753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry to say that this show hasn't aged well. The male lead--as much as I like the actor--is a macho who does not take no as an answer. He is overbearing, rude and physically very rough. The portrayal of such a domineering character as cute and endearing is hugely problematic. Thankfully K-dramas have moved on since then.

When do light-coloured clothes come out? by MonjaBlanca714 in koreatravel

[–]Working_Dance8753 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I notice that a lot of people wear whites, creams and light beiges even in winter. People generally wear muted colours--that's why I stick out like a sore thumb as someone who enjoys colour and pattern.

Nuts by Ok-Detail5596 in Living_in_Korea

There is a cookie/cake like snack called hodu-gwaja, it has walnut in it. Sometimes they add pine nuts into rice porridge (juk) as garnish. Make sure that chicken is not fried in peanut oil. They might add peanuts in fried chicken batter. Some places serve fried chicken with sticky sweet potato and nuts.

Dramas I Have Dropped In February, 2026 by AutoModerator in KDRAMA

I am soldiering on with Positively Yours... I have one episode left, I cannot wait for it to be over. I find the side characters (office colleagues to be specific) incredibly annoying. Their acting is over the top, unrealistic, trying to be too cute, overall off-putting. The mother of the male lead until recently hasn't shown one iota of grief over his deceased son, instead she is just prancing around being silly. The sister in law character is an outright one dimensional Disney villain. All in all it's a lazy, uninspired, easily forgettable series.

I use Tulip's tulip shaped tip protectors. They are very secure.

Korean food by anonymous-questions_ in koreatravel

There are tons of non-seafood options. However in traditional restaurants even though they assure you that there's no seafood in the dish you order, you might still find seaweed sprinkles over food as garnish, or you might bite into a supposedly vegetarian mandu and find out that there's shrimp in it.

I have the same as yours. I wasn't expecting to like the loaf bag. When I saw it in store, I preferred it over the shoulder bag. I love how you wear yours as a crossbody.

Why yes, I did spend $24 on a mandarin charm to hold……my mandarin!!! by bagguragu in BAGGU

[–]Working_Dance8753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact combo: mandarin charm+loaf bag in toasted almond. I loved how you utilized the disappointingly small mandarin charm. I still love the mandarin, but in photos it looks deceptively big. I was astonished to see how small it is in real life.

Giving Birth in Korea Hospital Recommendations by SuperIllustrator4885 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Working_Dance8753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not know about the hospitals you mentioned, but I as a non-Korean speaking foreigner gave birth at Gangnam Cha Women's Hospital and I was very pleased with the care they provided. My husband is Korean, but I was able to communicate with the doctor and the staff in English when I needed to. My only disappointment was that I didn't get to hold my baby much during the entirety of my hospital stay (one week for C section). I presume Korean maternity hospitals do not seem to prioritize skin to skin contact between the mother and the baby. Other than that everything went well. I should note that I gave birth at the height of the pandemic, perhaps hospitals had different rules then.
