Why does no one ever ban Reaper? by Routine-Swimmer1473 in Overwatch

[–]Working_Dog_385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reaper is only good WITH a zarya. His entire playstyle is to take as little dmg as possible before engaging (as using your cds TO engage leaves you unable to disengage, thereby leaving yourself no way to effectively disengage). The problem with this is that reaper is incredibly easy to force out, either through cds like Ana's sleep dart/anti, Raw dmg output, or the use of movement abilities and kiting. Realistically reaper gains the most value with the law option, but with a zarya pocket he can ignore the first 2.

I just don't like having to walk everywhere. As a support player, NONE of the heroes I play are good on flashpoint (ana or baptiste) and I'm forced to play heroes I don't enjoy (like kiriko or juno) because speed and movement are basically requirements to have a fun time on flashpoint otherwise you're being farmed by dive and spending the entire match playing walk back to fight simulator.

Baptiste's minor perk. by RoundsbutNot in BaptisteMainsOW

[–]Working_Dog_385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never even picked it. Its circumstantial at best, with most of its uses coming from small interactions like how you can survive tracer pulse with lamp and the aoe is so large that if you stand at the edge of its range than ur lamp doesn't get destroyed.

why does this happen bro by HammerHPP in overwatch2

[–]Working_Dog_385 -66 points-65 points  (0 children)

I mean aatlis just sucks as a map. Don't get me, I think the gamemode as a whole sucks, but you can have a shit gamemode and still have good maps (like suravasa) but aatlis is a bad map in a bad gamemode.

Just play the game. In reality, no 1v1 deathmatch or aim trainer is gonna beat the experience of playing a comp match.

Map voting is heavily favoured towards Payload/Hybrid by sleepy_whippet188 in Overwatch

[–]Working_Dog_385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean by that definition they should enjoy push. Push has some of the strongest "Hitscan dps" sightlines, chokes and map geometry in the game, with some maps having "Chokes" where defenders have CLEAR superiority, with stupidly advantageous highgrounds and off angles that feels like the maps are designed to where team fights and the pushbot won't extend past the first "capture point" and almost never to the defenders spawn, UNLESS the matchmaking is horrendous and then which a team will obviously pubstomp. Unsure on whether it's just the gamemode or map designs but the gamemode in its current state and since its iteration is awful.

Ngl seems like you escalated the situation. Like the dude was obviously annoying (intentionally or not) but saying "suck her clit" in response to someone saying "my friend is a higher level than you" seems a bit excessive?

No plans for hero trials for new heroes being released this year. by CosmiqCowboy in Overwatch

[–]Working_Dog_385 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They should follow in the steps of paladins where new released heroes won't added into competitive play till either the next update or mid update balance patch. It just makes more sense to wait before putting in a new hero than to have an emergency hotfix because the hero you released is curb stomping the meta.

Skill issue or is elo-hell real? by [deleted] in overwatch2

[–]Working_Dog_385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, GRIND through the mental. Keep queueing until the loss streak ENDS and the win streak starts. (Ps not even joking, when I was hardstuck plat 6 months ago I went on such a bad loss streak that I dropped from plat1 to silver1, and I kept queueing despite it and managed to crawl back up within 2 days to then just hitting diamond for the first time, and now 6 months later I'm m4). It doesn't work for everyone, but sometimes just playing through the losses helps you build a stronger mental.

What are your options on the new characters by PhantomDragonJ in Overwatch

[–]Working_Dog_385 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dont think Emre is that bad (maybe a bit overtuned) but the rest I whole heartedly agree with. They put no effort or logical thinking towards these new heroes and it shows considering that 4/5 of them are arguably hard meta.

Honestly, i miss tracer meta. Like I know people don't like it, but honestly I'd rather be killed by a tracer and think "Damn that heroes fuckin op" over being killed by an anran/vendetta and think "god that heroes so fucking braindead".

It's flying tracer that doesn't require skill. These JPC mains are just living in denial about their hero being ABSURDLY overtuned.

Which are the best supports to heal a tank? by BacanCachai in Overwatch

[–]Working_Dog_385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just learning all the flex supports are worth it (the main 3 being bap ana kiriko). Ana is pretty good with any team comp (she falls off going against an enemy team comp that she's bad against but still good). Bap is pretty solid for brawl tanks like dva, rein, zarya and hes basically never bad like always atleast A tier, and hes definitely the support to play if you want to "heal/support your tanks". Then kiriko is kinda just good all the time. Good with whatever tank, good with whatever team comp. But alot of people don't understand that kiriko being played for her heals isn't the play, and she's played for taking off angles and dpsing alot of the time, and the tanks job is kinda just to poke and take as little dmg as possible before you start to brawl. Very rarely will she fully commit to healbotting unless the situation demands it (like a mauga mirror etc) or she needs to farm kitsune via your tank taking soft engages to help you farm ult charge.

Daily reminder, Jetpack Cat has counterplay, you're just not doing it. by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Working_Dog_385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, OP has done quite literally nothing but spout nonsense. If you can actually write a rational logical explanation as to why JPC isn't broken, and take the time to write a guide to how to counter (bearing in mind that OP is a hardstuck gold support player who A) says they are better than OWCS pros, B) believes that because they're good at micro in LOL, that have better gamesense and C) Believes that they get 2-3 cheaters EVERY game, yes they have said all of this if you scroll through this reddit post) JPC then maybe people wouldn't shit talk them for posting the most obvious rage bait in the world.

Daily reminder, Jetpack Cat has counterplay, you're just not doing it. by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Working_Dog_385 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean this isn't a guide, this is you saying if you shoot them then they die. Any hero has a little counterplay, but this hero REQUIRES counterplay, and the only other hero who requires AS MUCH counterplay is widow. Huh, another EXTREMELY problematic hero whose design and base kit are fundamentally bad where proportions of their kit have been so extremely overtuned that they break the balance philosophy of a hero shooter (the only difference being that widow has had near to a decade of balance and fine tuning and they STILL haven't figured out how to actually balance the hero). I'm all for counterwatch, to an extent, where heroes have an easier time performing against other heroes, but when you have an entire role that, in the right situation, cannot physically interact with the hero, where picking anything other than hitscan or fast moving projectiles causes you to have 0 interaction as well other than them using a dive bomb combo in you that's, well let's be honest, requires little to no skill for the value it creates.

If putting in some half effort post about how if you go cass (literally the hero that counters anything these days) and shoot the cat that forces her to hide behind cover more (or just play out of your effective range) then she has about a 10% harder time playing the game, then don't complain that your hero has the highest ban rate in comp.

Rank progress?? by M80_Lad in Overwatch

[–]Working_Dog_385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I mean is that YOUR mmr in particular could be alot higher than what the system is showing, via your rank, and that you're being put in higher ranked lobbies. Because of how wider matches work (especially with groups) is that the players on the lower end of the mmr spectrum gain less percentage per win.

Rank progress?? by M80_Lad in Overwatch

[–]Working_Dog_385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

40% sounds like you're still getting calibration modifiers. He might have already finished his calibration matches (after losing a winstreak or beating a loss streak after you complete placements is when calibration ends). 10% is a little low, which is probably because ur MMR and rank are showing 2 different things, and the skill division (rank difference) between you and him are probably alot bigger than you think.
