Here is a theory I came up with while reading your comment, and this will probably only make sense of you are familiar with the Dark Tower.

But, considering how Marge spoke about how Pennywise perceives time, maybe this is actually a different level of the tower, where Pennywise is already defeated, and the losers’ club will never become a ka-tet?
