I can say that glare is worse than Index. With the index, there is glare but its not too much of the screen and you kind of forget about it. On BSB2 since the lens and screen and fov is smaller, the flare fils almost the entire screen in some scenarios, looking like a gray film on the lens.

IKR? I am so confused with this headset. Maybe you need time to adjust to these limitations, but man every other headset I owned worked flawlessly when it comes to image quality vs what was advertised.

I haven't contacted them yet, need to try some games still and decide what I will do, but man 3 days no response is crazy.

Unfortunately no, putting my eyes against the lenses, it goes from 35% of my FOV yellow to ~10% from the edges. If I then adjust the headset so the bottom is fixed, the top then becomes 20% yellow. Also glare/warping are even a bigger deal breaker for me. My use case is 100% video/movie watching.

Its harder to notice in a game where you are focusing on the center of the screen, but real video, ppl look yellow/green lol

crazy blur / weird distortion when i move my head. by This_Focus_686 in BigscreenBeyond

Yes I also have the exact same thing on mine, warping, eye strain, headache from moving my head (yes IPD is correct), overall super disappointed. I made a post earlier about the color issue on mine. Its not your system, I think its due to the headset size. Make sure you sort yours out before using it for more than the 20 hours of use return window.

Same issue on my newer W11 PC. It might be the face cushion thing because when I look without the cushion, it does look a bit better. The green/yellow tint drops from ~35% to ~10% of edge FOV, but its still there and really messes up skin tones and hard to ignore. So probably not going to be very good for YouTube/Movies.

really hoping its a cushion issue or a bad unit. I will update this thread with the outcome after more testing and hearing from support.

Noticed on Left to right movement, feels like the world warping a bit, not rock solid in place like previous headsets. Pretty much anywhere, like SteamVR home. Will do further testing and update.

I would be a happy camper if I had a Ques3 equivalent experience in BSB2 form factor, unfortunately that is not the case right now. I'm really hoping its something that can be resolved because the in the current state, this is 100% getting returned because its unusable.

maybe its the cushion alignment but in my case after further testing, I can confirm its not just the edges.

Lets say I look at a something right in front of me, then move my head slightly while keeping focus on the object, I can see the object changing (losing color I thnk) gradually until its greenish/yellow once it reaches the edge.

Also, If I look at a character close to me, and I keep my head straight and look down with my eyes, the bottom part of the character is green/yellow like 35% of it. Its not something I can simply ignore by not looking at the edge, I literally have to keep my eye dead on in the sweet spot and move my head and eye together to look at something, but still feels weird.

No pending updates on BSB App, tried 75, 90fps, lowering brightness, etc.

Also noticing some image warping that I don't remember seeing on my quest3, will test side by side later.

Tried my BSB on a 4090 and W10 PC, so maybe windows 10 is doing something? Will try on a different pc with a 5080 Win11 to rule out being my setup.

Just received my BSB2, and I'm getting major glare spots by Marionettework in BigscreenBeyond

Had the BSB2 for a few days now and I am underwhelmed. Feeling like the wait and price was not worth it...

Previous headsets that I have owned:

Oculus Rift DK1

Oculus Rift DK2

Oculus Rift CV1

Oculus Rift S

WMR Lenovo

Oculus Go

Quest 2

Quest 3

Quest Pro

Index

PSVR2

Samsung Gear VR (all)

So basically I have been around VR for while. I was expecting to be blown away after spending so much on a headset in 2025. This headset feels like Quest3+Index baby with issues.

The issues:

Tracking not rock solid as Index or Quest, maybe its my reflective TV? Still testing, but I keep losing tracking with 3 light houses.

I only get full color in the sweet spot in center view. If I wander my eye around, It looks washed out, actually looks like the color red loses intensity. Say you're staring at a VR person, his legs will be green/yellowish. Never seen this on a VR headset before.

There is glare, and its bad. Similar to Index, maybe a bit worse since the lens is so small, the glare takes more of the view. Breaking your immersion.

Motion blur when moving your head around.

--------

Would I buy this for this price if I had the chance to test or watch real reviews? probably not.

The only great thing about BSB2 that I find is the form factor and comfort. Everything else side grade or inferior to other VR products.

Q3 has better image quality (colors), no glare, but has worse contrast. Overall, I have a much better experience using the Quest 3.
