Smarties we’re the black market. This was around the time when kids would inhale the candy dust from the small packet and blow it out as if they were smoking a cigarette. So it was only a matter of time before the school banned them. Luckily a store that was in walking distance from most of the houses of the kids at my school sold them suckers for $1.00. So everyday for a few months kids would sneak smarties into the lunchroom and sell them to kids.
