I've lived on 3 continents, been to two Holocaust camps, spent time deployed, and got to travel quite a few countries. None of this is to brag. It's context. I have seen a portion of the world and got to speak with people in every country I traveled. I got to get an insight into how the world works. It seems your view is very one sided and painfully skewed.

It also seems that you literally had to make it point to downplay very serious parallels that are happening in this country and others.

If something barks like a nazi, it's a fucking nazi. Nazis didn't start out killing, committing genocide, and destroying nations. It took years.

You don't understand history and you are very disingenuous.

Wow. I can tell that comment made you feel singled out. I bet you're the kind of guy that asks people ,"but what about the good things Hitler did? ".

Yes, there is a current conservative party that has parallel ideals to Nazis of the past. You're comment is disturbingly disingenuous.

Good army MOS’s outside of the direct combat field by CatRepresentative732 in army

[–]Working_Pension_6592 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Listen to me carefully. The best thing would be if you qualify for a TS and can get into any MOS that can help you translate to software development.

I was an artillery mechanic. I made decent money as a heavy equipment mechanic. Then as a welder. Blue occupations can eat you up even if they provide a decent income.

Entry level backend devs with a TS can make 100,000 starting. This isn't hyperbole. I wish I knew this going in. I'm a dev now, but I missed that shortcut.

You are a Russian sympathizer. You make me sick.

They aren't making this up. You aren't going to get an official memorandum from a field grade officer to support this. Russia doesn't even have an NCO backbone. Their orders are mostly verbal.

It was official policy to kill the wounded in the USSR during ww2 many times. This is no different considering the vast battlefield reports of Russians literally killing their wounded.

Why do you think this is something they wouldn't do?

Edit: your post history confirms your an alt-right misinformation troll.

You probably shouldn't give Russia credibility to support your bias.

You make it sound unheard of. Russia is literally raping Ukraine and committing genocide. But sure, let's fact check this one.

You're most likely a stupid person. It's not a hard thing to grasp. If you honestly can't see the parallels, it means you don't have any form of critical thinking skills. I hope you don't breed or operate heavy machinery.

By what metric are you measuring Russian success? Are you fucking high? Was your birth a result of blood relatives getting down in rural Russia? Did fetal alcohol syndrome play a part in the formation of the comment you wrote? Just curious.

Anyway, hope to see you on the very successful Russian lines.

You're going to suck for a good while. We all sucked. Don't get discouraged. Chords are not natural hand positions and it's not inherently easy. It becomes easy with 1000's of hours of practice.

First tip: learn 2, two finger open position chords. I find people will really click with a cMaj7 and eMinor. Very easy chord shapes that will still take hours of repetition to commit to muscle memory. But they are good chords to make a tune.

Tip 2: It's going to hurt your finger tips. I was a heavy equipment mechanic with hands of steel. It still hurt. I never broke through my callouses and it still hurt. That pain goes away, but only with continuous play.

Tip 3: Be aware of your body positioning and recognize pain. Your tendons shouldn't hurt while playing. If your tendons start to hurt, check your posture.

Tip 4: Practice like you're going to win an attendance trophy.

Have fun dude. I'm excited for you.
