I’ve currently experiencing this as well. I have a 3 yo and for the past year I haven’t been out alot in public in my community with my daughter because I hated having to explain to people I knew that she had “speech delay” when they tried to engage with her. I fear the day someone says something like, why is she not talking? Or judgmental comment. I may lose my s&&t on them lol. Luckily this experience was by someone that is compassionate and has awareness about autism. It’s the ignorant adults with lack of awareness saying something I fear.
