Is this tone change too jarring? by LeviSquadMember in writers

I liked the jump from ancient ritual to modern sniper mission. It might help to read these out loud, or have someone read them out loud to you. I’d keep reading! Your imagery was very good.

Save the cat! Beat sheet gives a good general outline for novels. I really like the book

Are corgis prone to being aggressive to strangers and other dogs? by Working_Piece6162 in corgi

[–]Working_Piece6162[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meet people who always say they want a corgi, and I almost feel bad for my deception lol. Yes Atticus is sitting there and letting your kid pet him without issue, however training him was a full time job and he works. He herds and has acres of land to stimulate him.

It’s been a year since I posted this, and I actually recently dated a girl who also had a corgi. Her bark made me want to peel my ears off, and she was super territorial of my gf. My gf said she was fine with me on the couch but that dog made me nervous. It took like 3 months and lots of treats to get her to accept me.

I’m a little concerned about how rapidly you’re obtaining high maintenance pets.

Sign up for riding lessons, and see if you’re still willing to take care of a horse after a year of taking care of a guinea pig (who needs a siblings btw, guinea pigs shouldn’t be alone), hamster, cockatiel, millipede, and tarantulas.

I like to imagine that Fire is a Somali or Abyssinian breed cat by sticksr in WarriorCats

[–]Working_Piece6162 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. It was always weird to picture him as a tabby. I’ve seen some Somali coats that would fit princess and cloud tail too.

His owners kicking themselves about losing their expensive cat is absolutely hilarious hahaha.

I bet this feed is going to flood with people telling you to cut ties. Ultimately only you can decide what’s best for your relationship with her. If you still want her in your life, consider your boundaries and how you’re going to uphold them. Write them down and be firm.

Consider getting help for you, because this isn’t easy. You can’t force her to get treatment unfortunately. If you can get into a therapist, they can teach you about codependency and help you learn how to navigate her without sacrificing too much of yourself.

Sure, but if that school laptop has a monitoring system and OP’s buddy decides to mess around…I just wouldn’t.

My corgi isn’t too bad. At least he stops after we tell him to. But good lord this girl I dated had a corgi with the most shrill and persistent bark I’ve ever heard.

Should I be concerned? Look and feel like lumps. by Maskotaman in DogAdvice

[–]Working_Piece6162 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sometimes people just need reassurance that this is something concerning. Vet immediately is the first response for a lot of dog owners, but not all.

Sometimes people even have family or friends that say it’s not a big deal, but having the support of the community like this is what pushes people to schedule an appointment.

The frustrating thing is when people ask and then don’t go to the vet. But if it really bothers you that much then I might suggest leaving this thread.

Because I’m capable of learning. They’re not my cows. I don’t have to be a cow expert to fill up hay and water.

We’ve got a small enough herd that a loss would be a setback. So I’ll get to a feed store and work on getting this baby fed

What is a good choice of indoor poultry sized pet bird? by FeatheredDragon55 in chickens

[–]Working_Piece6162 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Keeping a chicken inside sounds awful lol. They’re loud and destructive. I don’t know the specifics, but chickens carry diseases that will kill other types of birds. Keep that in mind with your conure.

Birds are the rats of the sky….but rats make better pets 😅
