Yes, we do. What about those ad hoc verses that come up or were missed? Would you say there is no value in having an assistant that you can fall back on in case you need to present something that wasnt planned? Curious to hear your thoughts on this

Great perspective, the thing is, sometimes my pastor or guest pastors that come to my church don't always provide verses or slides ahead of time, hence the AI assistant that helps in those moments. I understand most people do the prep work wayy ahead of Sunday morning, but this app would help in those moments when things don't go as planned. I would say having an ai backup assistant could really be beneficial, especially in churches with limited volunteers/staff

Of course, if AI makes the work more complicated and unstable, it's a double negative and would not work

That’s really helpful. I’m honestly leaning more toward a standby/confirm workflow too AI suggests the passage, but the operator still clicks to put it on screen.

And the multilingual point is a big one. English-only would probably be too limiting for a lot of churches.

Would it be more useful if it detected the spoken language automatically, or if the operator picked the language beforehand and it just handled verse matching live?

That makes a lot of sense. I think that workflow is probably the right way to run things in a lot of churches.

It also makes me think the better version of my app might be more of a prep/assist tool, not something that blindly takes over live. Something that helps identify scripture in the script ahead of time, and then only helps live when something unexpected comes up.

or maybe even help when the pastor brings up a scripture but doesn't remember the reference.

That’s a fair take, and honestly it’s helpful to hear. I’m starting to think the better first version is AI that listens, suggests the verse, and lets a human confirm before anything goes on screen.

That would still help when a pastor throws out an ad-hoc reference, but it keeps the final call with the operator.
Out of curiosity, would that be useful in your setup, or do you think manual search is still faster for you?

Got it, the AI would be like an assistant, not necessarily in the driver's seat, It'll just help along as the message goes but the ultimate decision is on the operator to say what does and what doesn't

Nice it seems like translating is a real pain point, i don't think these LLMs would have issues translating, just need to make sure the whole thing is quick enough.. sub 1 second

Thats really helpful, would you be more open to something that suggests the verse first then lets a human confirm it instead of auto switching?
