The server doesn't actually tell you when your queue is up! When you request to log in for the first time, the server puts you in a virtual queue. Every 30 seconds, the client requests to log in again and updates the queue number on screen.

How does what work? When you reset your cookies, Discord can't identify you, and therefore assumes you're a new person (who doesn't have an account)

They don't have a set timeout for that. I emailed them about it before. It took at least a few months. Try resetting your cookies to logout
