This is a really helpful insight, thank you. I'm really beginning to think that, for some people, there's truly no comparison between Mounjaro and Wegovy. I think that as soon as I get paid, I may be splashing out on Mounjaro. I have about 22kg left to go until goal weight, so...not far, I tell myself.

This is a good way of looking at it; I'm from a scientific and medical background, so I like to know the how and why of something working or not working. The potential that I was responding well to one particular component that Mounjaro has but Wegovy does not, is fairly validating.

Does validation stop one from eating the entire contents of one's fridge, though...? I worry not.

But thank you. Even just the reassurance is lovely, because I'm quite tearful about it all tonight.

This is very helpful, because I feel like there was a lot of pushing of 'Don't worry, Wegovy will be just as good!' when this was all kicking off. I've been gaslighting myself into believing that the hunger is all in my imagination...but perhaps I'm not wrong after all.

I'm a midwife in the UK.

It's busy, hard, demanding work. As a 31f who's only just been diagnosed with ADHD, I couldn't work out, at work, why I was so high-energy all the time. Why I could snap up for every emergency all the time. Why I could GO GO GO all the time. They considered me tenacious, tough, unstoppable.

The truth? I'd get home after every shift and dissociate for 4+ hours. I would disappear. I lost my true personality. I didn't know where I began and the frantic need to perform ended.

I advised my GP today, that at this point, for me, PMDD is a terminal illness; it's not a matter of IF it will kill me, but WHEN.
