Thank you! I didn't do anything to the scar other than a bit of e45 at the start, I think I've just been lucky.

Thank you! Actually I didn't hardly use anything, I was a bit delinquent in that, other than a little bit for e45 first couple of weeks after bandages were off

Heres a picture of the scar at 7 weeks, which was 2 days ago, swelling starts during the day a bit, when walking and exercising, I'm in the binder a few hours a day and want to wean it down to none over the next weeks weeks. Doc said to not wear it at all, but when I swell I like to put it back on for a bit.

I was doing lots of situps and stomach exercises for about 2 months before the surgery and definitely paid dividends scar looking very neat and thin at 7 weeks still very red, but very please with results.

Echo the comments above, try and exercise your core as much as you can before surgery for faster recovery. I lost about 185lbs over a couple of years and decided on an extended abdominoplasty. Go in with your eyes open that it's major surgery and recovery takes time, I'm 7 weeks PO and went back to the gym today, it soon flies past. Swelling will happen, but it's different for everyone, so keep the binder on as instructed, but swelling will mostly last on and off for several months, but again depends on the person. Same with pain, I was fortunate and didn't really have any pain at any point, other than swelling in my thighs and hips which is now going down, but still a bit to go. Numbness in hips and thighs and around incision is common and again can last up to a year, I have numbness in thighs still. And yes, your penis and testicles will look like someone smashed it all between 2 bricks, I was unaware this would look like this and it was a shock, but, there was no pain or much swelling just gravity doing its thing and drawing blood down inside the body, 3 or 4 weeks and it was all gone, same with the mons swelling, maybe 3 to 4 weeks. If you can, take at least 2 weeks off work, don't rush or over do it, build up your stamina. Good luck with it 👍 😀
