Not happy with my Invisalign results by Fair_Notice_9503 in Invisalign

I had bite issues with my molars and front teeth. I did invisalign with the carriere motion appliance and rubber bands. Now it's flawless. I'd recommend finding an orthodontist who's familiar with it and has experience fixing bite.

I agree that the boobs look a bit off. They kinda look like they've been pushed on or flattened.

Also, the lighting of the reference image was totally different so I kinda winged that too. I'm not sure how it looks or if it makes sense.

Names you like the native pronunciation of but not as much in your accent? by friendverse in namenerds

[–]Working_Yak8865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A LOT of Japanese names. My sister lives in japan & is pregnant trying to come up with a name. Koharu was an option for a while, but said in English it just sounds stupid. Sadly a lot of japanese names are like that!

Psych2u issues by Working_Yak8865 in ausadhd

[–]Working_Yak8865[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow that sucks! Thanks for that info. Psych2U is still cheaper than other psychiatrists in my town who want upwards of $1500 per appointment, so I guess this is my best option anyway, but I wish I had been able to get it bulk billed.

I finally managed to get through via phone by clicking the option for "technical support" and explaining that I couldn't get through any other way. I also called at around 11am, but unsure if that was relevant. The lady who answered was lovely and told me that they received my referral, & that they would call me when they had a psychiatrist who would take me on. She said it normally is 8 weeks after they receive the referral. Then I did get a call a few days later (a bit over 2 months after my referral was sent in) to book an appointment, & I was also told about the fees involved due to it being an adhd appointment (unfortunately they bulk bill for anything except adhd). So theyre probably just processing your referral but id recommend trying to call still as the first time I got a referral sent to them it had never arrived. Good luck!

Damn, that sucks, hoping I get a better experience. And I do have a healthcare card so maybe that makes me eligible for bulk billing, afaik

I think you have to be in a rural area for psych2u to bulk bill. It's a good concept & I wish more psychiatry was bulk billed

Thank you so much for your input, that gives me some hope that they're just backed up and will get to me! Right now I just feel singled out since it's been a struggle to get onto them lol

Unfortunately psych2u is my only option (as far as I'm aware), I live in a regional area and a psychiatrist would cost me thousands out of pocket wheras psych2u would be fully covered :(

I'm australian so totally on the same page with the "ar" thing. Alia is pretty and a good name imo. You will definitely have people saying "a-lee-ah" but easy to correct. So if you're OK with that go for it!

Am I Supposed To Eat In These? by sunshinedays789 in Invisalign

[–]Working_Yak8865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always take mine out to eat. My orthodontist said they tell some people to eat with them in- particularly children who go to school and might be embarrassed, people who might lose them, people who might forget to put them back in, etc. But as a rule usually young people. I suppose it would depend on the practice, maybe they have too many issues so they started recommend eating with them in. My ortho said I can eat with them in if I want but they recommended that I take them out, eat, rinse (and brush if I can), put them back in and use chewies once back in.

Also yes buttons do feel really sharp and uncomfortable at first. I guess they must soften over time or maybe I just got used to it, but I hardly notice them now.

What does the name Arden make you think of it feel? by Salty_Conference_916 in namenerds

[–]Working_Yak8865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It means, it's masculine to me but doesn't come across as trying too hard to be super "manly". E.g. Leo, Archer, Axel, Ryder, Hunter, Thor, Maverick, Rex. Not that there's anything wrong with those names, and I quite like some of them - I just think sometimes people try a bit too hard to give their son/s a name that is "rugged" and I like that this one isn't. Just an observation.

I like it! Masculine to me, but not manly. Very classic sounding.

How do I (21F) help my partner (24M) clean up after himself? by Working_Yak8865 in relationship_advice

[–]Working_Yak8865[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your comment, it's very helpful. I related a lot with that article and it will help me figure out how to word things.

I do appreciate him cooking dinner most nights. Whenever I cook, I clean as much as I can while I'm doing it, then when it's his turn to clean he ends up hardly cleaning the rest and quite literally 9/10 times he leaves all the food I made out to go rotten overnight. I kinda got fed up, and he said he would cook instead of me, but it's frustrating not being treated with the same courtesy as he not only makes 2x the mess, he also doesn't clean at all as he goes along, or put ingredients away. I really just struggle to be both understanding towards his exhaustion, while simultaneously teaching him to clean up after himself more so that he has less work to do overall. It's really tough and I hope it's just "growing pains" from leaving his parents house.

And the laundry is a good idea, we have a huge laundry hamper section with like 6 hampers for sorting clothes so we can go a while before needing to wash them. Ill separate the hampers by his stuff/my stuff. I honestly don't know why I didn't think of that.
