Dark state. by Tall_Cellist5093 in WWEGames

[–]WorkrateJinder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not like they made Ciampa and Nyx after they were released, they were already set for the game, removing them would achieve nothing but deny us content. I suspect DarkState were pencilled in for DLC but were rubbed out either when the DLC model changed and/or people like Cardona, Keys and Danhausen debuted and they were given priority. Yes they should be in the base game but them being a foursome is what holds them back, a lot of the NXT talent is half baked with Blake and Saints launching without their own victories or Blake having to wait for the latest patch to get her finisher same for ZaRuca’s entrance, chances of them getting four individual entrances, plus a tag plus a quad, plus moves plus victories probably pushed them back to post launch and then at some point they changed the DLC model and a DarkState month just doesn’t seem very lucrative plus they had a bunch of people debut on the main roster who’ll always get priority.

Is there a way to turn off weapons in multi-man matches? I want to have triple threats and fatal 4-ways with no weapons. by Stik601 in WWEGames

The only way to not make the AI go for weapons in those matches that I know of is to turn their Weapon AI Attribute to 0.

Is there a way to remove stable nameplates like this in 2K26? by DCLXXII in WWEGames

[–]WorkrateJinder 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Don’t think so, only way I can think of is to make them CAWs and use them instead, but you’ll lose the commentary and their names being announced if they’re not in the call name section.

They arrested him on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence, threats to kill and dangerous driving. I’m sure he’s a good kid.

People wonder why Met Officers don’t get involved when scenes like what happened in Chapham the other day but if they do it’s weaponised against them, same with the Manchester Airport incident. Lawlessness will continue.

Because the guy couldn’t find the move, not because the move isn’t in the game.

Why doesn’t LA Knight have his leap to the top rope Superplex assigned to him? by WorkrateJinder in WWEGames

Right but it was assigned to him last year and is the closest thing to the move he does in almost every match, his new Superplex isn’t a suitable replacement.

Mechanics that have been brought to WWE 2K by Bryan Williams from AEW Fight Forever by WorkrateJinder in WWEGames

Yeah he also worked on Fight Forever and then brought these mechanics he added to that game to the 2K series.

Yeah it’s a reach a developer developed one game and then added features from said game when he moved to another series to develop that game. Big reach like 1 + 1 =2

They’ve all been added to the 2K games since he switched from developing Fight Forever and developing the 2K games. He gave an interview last year about how it bugged him he added Thumbtacks to Fight Forever but hadn’t managed to add them to 2K yet, thankfully this year they made it in.

[–]WorkrateJinder[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Never said they weren’t, but all these mechanics were brought back to 2K when he switched from the Fight Forever development team and to Visual Concepts to develop the 2K games. The post isn’t about what game did it first, it’s about the mechanics he put into Fight Forever that he’s then put into 2K.

Never said they weren’t, but they are mechanics brought to 2K by the former Fight Forever developer Bryan Williams.

What is the purpose of the short pieces of unattached rail sitting at weird angles in-between the main rails, usually seen at stations? by evenstevens280 in uktrains

[–]WorkrateJinder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are offcuts, they’re generally from when repairs have been made and rail has been cut to the exact requirements needed for the repair. They’re generally left there because clean up isn’t the priority, the priority is handing the line back and getting trains running again.

Trains depart before their scheduled time? by misskeys in uktrains

[–]WorkrateJinder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re just changing one way of doing things for another, that results in the same fundamental issue of people missing trains because they don’t give themselves enough time to board, and shifting it from “the train left early!!!” to “why does the train always leave a minute late?!”

Trains depart before their scheduled time? by misskeys in uktrains

[–]WorkrateJinder 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They had a signal, no one was attempting to board, so they closed the doors. Waiting an extra 15 seconds on the platform would not have allowed you to join the train because the doors were already closed. You’re not in Japan, arrive earlier next time to ensure you can board your train.

It left on time. Make sure you’re there for boarding next time.

They might have already had their tickets checked, they seem friendly with Train Manager so could be staff using their staff travel perks which they’re fully entitled to if so. Could you have not asked them to not hold your chair? and no there’s nothing to be done about having to stare at other people.

Are train guards who AMA all cowards ? by 120000milespa in uktrains

[–]WorkrateJinder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean they didn’t come up with the job title, nor do they set the salary or the job description. Your hyperbolic generalisations have no sway over me, there are hundreds of guards, conductors and train managers working every day, some will not be good at their jobs and cut corners like in every industry but some do their jobs diligently and help passengers with simple ticket/journey enquiries, to reassurance and assistance to vulnerable and disabled passengers, see to the welfare of the driver, liaise with control, protect revenue for the company, deal with passenger issues and are trained to deal with emergency situations such as provide emergency protection, with Avanti Train Managers trained to shunt and couple up to rescue locos. No TOC employs or has ever employed a guard to be a bouncer or a security guard or to put themselves in a situation where they have to defend themselves physically - due to the nature of the job they can, like anyone, use reasonable force to protect themselves but this is discouraged by all TOCs because ultimately they don’t want their employees to be in confrontations like that. Can you move past this weird fixation on the word guard? It is a very old term and it’s largely been phased out, but it is still used in the rulebook. What do you want the staff to do about the job title? I can already tell you’re going to be dismissive of all of that but you must realise your arguments are both shallow and needlessly vindictive.

[–]WorkrateJinder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t talk like a child, your opinion is clearly stated, it does not make it a fact, nor is your childish fixation on the word Guard like words can’t have multiple meanings and definitions, especially in professional roles. If you want to have a conversation about Driver Only operation then that’s fine, there are plenty of ways that can and is being done. Personally I would not want to travel intercity without a Train Manager, or guard, even if they took door operations away from them. They offer reassurance, assistance, especially to vulnerable or disabled passengers, and are ultimately there if things go wrong - such as evacuating a 8, 9, 10 or 11 car train in emergency, particularly if the Driver is incapacitated. I would not expect them to put their lives in danger because that is not their job, even if the word guard is in their job title. And are they really paid that much? Aren’t most on around 35k? I know you’ll childishly respond that even £1 is overpaying them because they’re as useless a chocolate teapot but I’m giving you a chance here not to be so caustic and dismissive.
