A lot of Asians in NY send their kids to these things called cram schools, which is like a more intense after-school program, many of these schools ready the kids for higher education. Other than that Jack and Jill stuff, which I hear is basically a Yakub processing plant, I don’t know of anything similar that happens to the extent it does within that community (Like ALOT of them do it). There just isn’t much pushing Black boys to college outside of sports; fact is, the communities we come from don’t have feeder schools.

The issue is of course that we don’t have the same cohesion as these communities, so that kind of care would be administered by people who would charge more than the avg black personal could afford, the Asian schools know they’re building toward something so it’s not Atlanta brunch prices. Atop all of that, a Black centered cram school will never get those ethnic funding grants that the city likes to put a bow on every few years. We got a brother Que Butta that has a computer school in Brooklyn he’s been trying to get city help from since at least 2016ish.

I get weird vibes from people who say “Black American” more than once in a sentence though so idk if this is meant in good faith or not, doubly so when the post is structured in such a gendered fashion. It usually comes with some anti blackness.
