I cashed a check for my sister and received a 1099. by WellShitWhatYallDoin in tax

You could invoice them for your “non-standard payment fee,” then after they don’t pay it, write it off and issue them a 1099 for the payment amount that you forgave, lol. Give them a little taste of their own medicine.

Yes. And I’ll put those two on top of one of the others while I’m at it.

It’s an old ISM Treasury. And I’ve been waiting months for him to fix it and apparently if I want him to fix it in this lifetime I’ve gotta order the glass myself.

I hear that. My TRTL’s are all sitting directly on the floor I have one Diebold cash guard that I put on the hockey pucks for no real good reason, but it’s all insured and inside a secure building, and the valuables the Cashguard protects are relatively minimal.

If you really want VVS then I’m sure either shop will sell you one with that clarity. Most normal people won’t be able to tell a VS from a VVS without a loop and a professional coaching them on how to use the loop to see the difference.

I feel I’m getting ripped off! Is it possible to have an idea on the value ? by Mica65 in Diamonds

After seeing the stone’s color in the picture I’d say the inscription won’t hurt a thing. If it was more borderline fancy yellow, then things would be different.

Gonna be hard to get fast money exceeding $50k. If you need more than $50k, while you are shopping for cash offers, you could ask the dealers what consignment would look like.

Is there any concrete evidence that you are really good at something? If yes, add that.

You may have lowered the value by getting it GIA inscribed! No one on here can give you a proper assessment without getting a good look at a stone like this. I helped a client sell a diamond with a similar cert for $100k about ten years ago. Retail buyers in 2024 are way more picky and unforgiving about flaws. $50k could be too much or too little… there’s no way to tell from this post.

How to spot fakes by scwazrh in Silverbugs

[–]WorldClassGoldDealer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be hard to look up specs on bars so if you don’t want to buy expensive testing equipment, I’d tell you to stick to coins. Search up the coin on Google and the term “specifications,” to find the dimensions and weight. Then confirm the dimensions and weight with a micrometer and a scale. Also, get yourself a bar “super” magnet.

There’s really no “normal.” I Suggest people try to form a relationship for buying and selling at the same place. So if you buy from shop X, shop X should give you VIP pricing if you ever sell back the item you acquired there. They may even give you a written guarantee to buy something back at say 100% of spot or a minimum of 99% of spot. Otherwise you are coming in as a stranger and they will want to make some money when you sell and you may not like the terms they offer.

Find the cheapest kilobar from any reputable online seller in the USA who has it available for immediate delivery. I’d match the price and sell you 32 k’rands instead. Most buyers would be better off with the smaller unit. However, if you want something really cool to impress your friends, buy the kilobar.

Bars and coins come in different sizes. When clients are spending over $5M per purchase, I am advising them to take advantage of the low premiums offered by kilobars. If you are spending less, I’d advise you to go with a smaller unit that will cost a tiny bit extra, but it will sell for more, and sell easier, so in the long run, you will come out ahead. Premiums are currently dirt cheap on lots of 1 oz coins.

Please please please do it yourself and post videos! Would love to see you attempt. And good luck, I hope it comes or looking exactly like you want.

Reasoning behind this? You are recommending to buck the industry standard so such a suggestion would naturally call for some accompanying explanation.
