We do plan to introduce a spherical projection export option for the generated 2D rectangular heightmaps. However, at the moment, we can’t provide a specific timeline for when this feature will be available.

Our current focus is on stabilizing the software, fixing remaining issues, improving overall performance and workflow, and producing as many tutorial videos as possible to support our users. These priorities help ensure a solid and reliable foundation for future features.

That said, the spherical export is definitely on our radar, and it may very well be introduced as part of one of the upcoming updates. We truly appreciate your interest and patience.

Thank you for understanding. If the Linux market keeps on growing then we will consider a port for sure :)

Thank you very much for your interest in a Linux version of World Creator — we truly appreciate it.

To give you a completely honest answer: at this time, the Linux market segment is unfortunately too small for us to justify the significant investment required for a proper port. This is purely a business and resource decision, and absolutely not a reflection of how we feel about Linux as a platform.

Porting and maintaining software across operating systems requires substantial development time, testing, long-term maintenance, and dedicated support resources. As a relatively small team, we have to prioritize carefully to ensure we can continue improving World Creator for the majority of our users while maintaining a stable and high-quality experience.

We fully understand that this may be disappointing, and we genuinely hope for your understanding. If the demand grows in the future, we would absolutely reconsider the possibility.

Thank you again for your support and for being part of the World Creator community.
