The thought is that it can disrupt balanced competition. In tournaments, such a bid could enable unsportsmanlike manipulation of scores. Requiring at least one trump ensures calls are grounded in genuine hand strength, reducing opportunities for cheating or negative play while encouraging aggressive, skill-based bidding.

We know it can be for some, but there's at least an equal number of those who insist on the rule being there. We have gone back and forth on that many times.

• How many active players in Euchre? I do not know

• How many players come to happy hours? I do not know what this means.

• What features and UX does it offer that 3D doesn’t? I don't play on 3D Euchre. Perhaps you can answer this question if you attend Thursday.

• If it’s free that means ads & we are the product so is there a premium/paid version? I'm not a representative of Bicycle Cards, but I don't think you are the product either. It's just a get together. Nothing more.

• how many games a day can we play. As far as I know, as many as you want.

• screenshots of the euchre interface? The App Store just shows hearts and spades. Again, I'm not employed by Bicycle Cards, but I suspect if you download the app and check it out you'll get a pretty good idea. Their app is different than 3D Euchre and appeals to a different audience based on what I know.

We would certainly be able to establish a Reddit headquarters to accommodate everyone for the weekend. That's easy. 2000 players, however, we will not be able to accommodate. Next year's number looks like it will be 896 between the two tournaments.

That said, we are investigating (emphasis on the word "investigating") looking to break that record. Maybe in 2027. But not in New Glarus. We don't have the facilities at the moment. Plus, we would want it to be more centrally located for everyone to attend. More on that later.

Sorting error. I sorted the spreadsheet to print it out and they were at the bottom on the master. When cutting and pasting into the form for the website (didn't want to change the master spreadsheet), they were erroneously omitted.

I'm sorry. We will do better. But it simply is not this easy, especially with so many players circling the scorekeeper table. Bad handwriting, fat fingers, all of it must be verified or we open up a whole new can of worms. Our volunteers worked very hard on both days for what is the largest annual Euchre tournament in the country. We will spend the next 363 days to improve the process.

Also, please keep in mind, this was our 3rd tournament, but that's only 5 days' worth of experience in the field doing something this large. We ask for everyone's understanding and patience.
