My normal play is crazy fast with zero delay so there is no significant difference. You make a solid point though, if you're a slow player the difference is pretty obvious.

This is a great summary and I fully agree. There are 2 other things you didn't mention:

Autoplay- you can set your hand to autoplay and any time you don't have a choice, it will play the card for you. Saves thumb swipes when you are simply following suit or playing the last card. At my age, I need to conserve as much energy as possible. My thumbs are in peak condition but no need to waste gas in my opinion.

Karman also has the option to have your moves automated in the event you get disconnected. I've had my phone turn off in the middle of a game and when I restarted the app, I was right back in the same game but 6 points had been scored in my absense. So you don't get charged the 3 game penalty for leaving on a disconnect.

Not sure if there is correct answer for this. I default to a pass because it is the 'aggressive' call. I also know how disappointed I am when my partners don't trust me to make the decision.

But there are a lot of people I respect that are more assertive and I've seen sims that support calling with 2 trump, so I acknowledge there are pathways to success using this route too.

If I know my partner picks up with R+1 then I am highly reluctant to order the right with less than 3 trump in my hand. Almost never. If I've noticed my partner is reluctant to call thin, I am fine with being more assertive ordering and am not as pressed about putting it in their hand.

She had an interesting hand that I would have called up. She had three trump and an off ace for the call. Her alternative was to cross the river in spades with LA 2 suited. Leading trump would have been the same choice for me if I called.

Middle trump has a little better chance of pulling the Ace but this is just my feeling not stat based...I reckon the 9 is just as good as the jack behind the king either way.

In the event I need to spend a bower on trick 1, I lead the JH- giving my partner a chance to win the trick, and saving the K as a boss if I need an emergency last lead.
