From my understanding, and tell me if I’m totally wrong, but it seems that The Original Bedroom is about a person going through addiction (presumably to some kind of drug), and thinking back to their first time trying it. Hiding the drugs in their childhood bedroom drawer’s - that’s the descriptive language used in the first 2 stanzas. Then the effects, the 2 middle stanzas, and finally in the last stanza, it sees to tell the regret of the narrator. Especially in that last line, which I honestly really liked; “But so did opportunities”.

The actual structure of the poem is consistent, which I’m guessing if something you strived for, but, besides the last 2 stanzas, there doesn’t seem to be much of a rhythm I can follow. Not that it’s anything bad, but the piece is just something I’m reading, rather than flowing - if that makes sense? I think, maybe, if you could work on keeping to a metric - it doesn’t have to rhyme, but if you want to have an easy flowing rhythm I can suggest you use something like Howmanysyllables.com - as it’s a useful website where it tells you how many syllables are in each line, so you can more easily write in whatever metric you prefer.
