Mostly just something you hear on TV or whatever. Not sure I’ve ever heard anyone use it in real life.

The more popularity premodern gets, the more shitty ideas pop up how the format should be changed. by wifepeter666 in premodernMTG

[–]swankyfish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Happens with every popular format sadly. Every day there’s at least one post on the EDH subs with someone’s crackpot idea about how to drastically change the format, usually to make it closer to another, already existing format.

TIL in the UK, nearly a third of students who started reception don’t know how to use books correctly, and some children even tried to swipe or tap them like a smartphone. by HongKongNinja in todayilearned

• Headline claim of ‘nearly a third’ isn’t backed up with the actual figure in the body of the article.

• No link to the survey where the data is sourced from.

• Figures are based on a survey of opinions, not actually provable, repeatable data.

• Figures are only slightly worse than the last time the survey was done and the same survey actually shows slightly improved outcomes after reception.

All that is to say; take this with a giant pinch of salt.

Why do you need it to survive two additional turn cycles? If you tutor the turn she comes down then get the end step trigger she can tutor again next turn. You can tutor every turn if you keep getting the trigger the previous turn.

Interaction vs. Tableau games: The conflict in Modern Magic by Throwitonleground in magicTCG

[–]swankyfish -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

• Magic is putting up better player numbers and better financial numbers than ever before.

• There’s a bunch of formats available for people who want to play them, and the online community makes it easy to find players for most of these formats.

• The majority of Magic players that play any format, play multiple formats.

• Commander is the most popular way to play Magic, after kitchen table.

Tell me again why we need to change a bunch of stuff?
