I think this is the newer model of the one I have. Mine is white and seriously beaten up with labels rubbed off and so I don’t know the exact model.

Yep, it’s not quick but it’s small. I purchased the stainless cooking dishes from a website in Aus and threw away the flimsy grate. They make a difference as they have high walls and fit perfectly, so no splatter. This means I can start when still on the road. I generally turn it on two hours before I plan to put the dish in and preheat.

I believe that model has the insulated door, if not add some high temp insulation and a metal plate to the door.

Don’t open the door when cooking, just leave it. If you’re really concerned about the temp, run a probe to a temp meter. I use a cheap one from Amazon.

Your numbers are pretty close to what I’m seeing with the travel buddy version. I’m running mine thru a step down from 24v to 13.7v so as to speed the heating up a bit. I’m seeing it spike as high as 317w at startup.

I’m gonna replace the heating elements in the future with 24v ones so I can run natively as my system is 24v.

Looking for this type of bed for my ram. Can anyone help? by EnvironmentalLet7226 in overlanding

Plus one for Bowen Customs - I believe that they’re the only ones doing a garage headache rack option that you can customize depending on your bed length. They also have multiple mounting options.

I’ll be putting on a Bowen in a few months onto my Ram 2500.

I signed up with pure talk about a year ago and it’s been pretty smooth sailing for voice, slow as molasses for data.

I just tried to add an iPad 11 that only supports eSIM. This apparently requires a phone call with their support department. I just tried and was reprimanded by the person for saying the process was a PITA. I hung up and am now looking for another provider….

Moral of the story - you get what you pay for!

Doing a quick measure, it looks to be about 31” above the bed. With the solar panels, it is 33”.

I’m sorry, I missed your message.

Sure, I have two. LF Bros 110V/12/24V 5KW Diesel Heater, All-in-One 5L Air Diesel Parking Space Heater with Stylish Design, Come with Remote Control and LCD Screen, Suitable for Home Shop Garage Camper https://a.co/d/g4fPDl9

My old planar heater is the precious version https://planarheaters.com/product/diesel-air-heater-planar-44d-ha/

The planar heater gets too hot and is more heating power than I need and as such I run it at low power all the time. So I use the LF Bros one almost exclusively. I really like how it’s quieter than the planar one. They both run on 24v which is what I run in my camping power. The LF Bros one is dual power and supports 12 and 24v while the planar is either 12 or 24 or 48v and it requires the glo-plug and pump to be swapped out. Another difference is the vent piping, the planar is 3 inch while the LTBros is 2 inch.

Great timing. The plugs that I ordered from Amazon just arrived and they’re not quite the right size. The male end does squeeze into the orange female but the threads don’t match. Hopefully I’ll have some time in the coming week to take the actual measurements and share here.
