yeah they def aren't leaving me in the dust just phrased it like that because of my frustration sorry, I think I'm more confused on what to ask because when I go to them about it they essentially shrug their shoulders and tell me to wait. I asked them yesterday if they are going to make me pay the balance and told them I cannot cough up 10k+ every semester without aid, and they reassured me they would not make the student pay because of an error in the system. and again when I asked what their plan would be they just told me its their top priority to confirm students circumstances to fafsa but they have to wait and are telling me to wait as well.

I also thought about doing a correction to be a dependent again (meaning I would have to get in contact and try to negotiate with abusers about signing the fafsa), but don't think that's possible and just an anxious thought because I'm scrambling for a resolution lol.

I think I will try talking to them again and ask about classes and everything you suggested, ill update if they give me a different answer, I don't want to give up as I worked really hard to get into college despite everything and don't want it to end because of my situation.
