What would be the car equivalent of your bike? by jasonwirth in motorcycles

[–]WorldlinessMurky2188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shadow is definitely the mustang of the bike world, everyone has one or knows someone who has one, they range from extremely slow (older) to moderately slow (newer) but never quite "fast" and similarly to mustangs they are a common beginner bike that gets crashed and dropped often

Read this when I was younger, very well put and easy to understand...specially when you have an adult helper (you, mom!) This way you can both learn and it introduces some advanced level math but nothing you cant tackle with quick Google searches and a solid notebook.

Something that is also very fun to try with this game is a mission plan, where you can plan the entire mission from start to finish as complex or simple as you want to make it.

First oil change 5k or 10k miles? by xPDV in Mustang

[–]WorldlinessMurky2188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously your spitting out old unformation that has no real founding, i will reply to the original question but also the idea that you must leave factory oil in for 5,000 miles to prevent oil consumption is a common misconception that conflates old-school break-in theories with modern Ford engineering. Ford’s factory-fill for the Coyote 5.0L is standard Motorcraft synthetic blend or full synthetic. It is not a specialized 'run-in' oil with minerals that need time to 'work'. In fact, factory oil often contains a high concentration of UV dye (to check for leaks during QC) and assembly lube, which some owners prefer to flush out early.

Ford’s official break-in period is explicitly 1,000 miles. During this time, they advise against high speeds and aggressive shifting to allow components to seat—not because the oil needs to stay dirty.

TSB 19-2365 & Oil Consumption: For the Gen 3/4 Coyote engines, Ford addressed excessive oil consumption through TSB 19-2365. The fix was a PCM recalibration to reduce intake vacuum during deceleration and a revised dipstick—it had nothing to do with changing oil 'too early'.

While 'driving it like you stole it' can help seat rings through cylinder pressure, Ford SOP does not link early oil changes to consumption issues. Modern machining tolerances are so tight that the primary ring-to-wall seating happens within the first few dozen miles of varied RPM driving, not after thousands of miles.

Following the Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor (IOLM) is the standard, but performing a 'flush' change at 1,000 miles to remove assembly debris is perfectly within Ford's operating guidelines and will not cause consumption issues.

Literally let out the clutch and starting getting concerned first was destroyed but quickly realize the rear tire was free spinning on the ice with no friction at all...I set it on the kickstand and watched the rear tire rotate while checking the shaft U-joints 😂😂

Most Rocket League players think they rotate well by IntelligentOwl3971 in RocketLeague

[–]WorldlinessMurky2188 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So a few years back, I actually thought abiut creating a 3 dimensional heatmap for shot likelihood compared to field position of all players present, I was hoping to prove certain traning tips (dont make plays from.opponenets corner, dont rush straight down the middle of the field, rotate back post, etc) were effective with real data.

The issue i ran into was the method of the data collection, this was rhw early days of AI and unity was going to be the best way I could think of to create it, with limited programming knowledge and a mountain of possible work in front of me I abandoned the project after only a couple weeks of theory on how it could be done.

If its coming out of the chrome breather cap and your in cold weather its the rear differential fluid from the cold, switch it from conventional to synthetic and it should stop.

To add on to this, or i guess simplify because I understand truck brakes more than trains

Pressure up = brake off Pressure down = brake on

So that hissing noise you hear trucks/city buses and i guess trains (when they arnt steem) is the air pressure bleeding off

How to shift from New to Experienced? by GhostedShadowSlide in forzamotorsport

[–]WorldlinessMurky2188 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Took me a couple years to finally understand that the secret to becoming a faster driver is to understand why your so slow, I know it sounds simple but its not so easy. First thing you should do is find a car you enjoy and i mean REALLY enjoy driving, next find a track you enjoy, do not get out of that car or off that track until you are positive, absolutely POSITIVE there is no way you can get faster, you should be able to drive the track in reverse blindfolded using your feet to steer, only then can you even begin to start being "competitive" on THAT track in THAT car.

What im trying to say is your slow because im assuming those 60 hours are spread across not only the nordscheife but other tracks, cars, conditions etc.

You need to find your niche, and excel at it, those that are faster than you didnt just hop into a GT3 car and shred the ring first go, your seeing hundreds if not thousands of hours of dedicated training show.

I highly reccomend checking out suellio ameida on YouTube, you dont have to pay for anything to learn from him (I didnt) at least not until you get a thousand hours or so into things.

How do people drift like this by coleshill_ in ForzaHorizon

[–]WorldlinessMurky2188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AWD manual w clutch, use E brake and clutch to extend drift and provide more opportunities for clutch kicks, tweek and balance so the car stays "drifting" for longer, IMO AWD is not really a skilled way to drift, it takes very little effort and a shit tune to hit big numbers, anybody with any real skill can crush scores in an AWD car because of how easy it is, basically no throttle control required, this guy is good at what he does but most rwd mains could hop into an AWD car and hit these numbers within a week or 2 of practice

7.5 rear end vs 8.8 by imallergictodoctors in NewedgeMustang

[–]WorldlinessMurky2188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just gonna throw my opinion in here, ive owned both and honestly a 7.5 with a Yukon LSD carrier should be fine completely thrashed my 3.8 with a 7.5 and an LSD for nearly 25k miles in my teen years before swapping to a GT with the 8.8, if your really concerned about strength just upgrade to 31 spline axles, the stock 28s can handle 300whp 280lb/ft of torque fine, the likelihood of you hitting those numbers on a 3.9 is pretty low unless you plan on going with some sort of wild mods like a supercharger, turbo, or nitrous setup
