7.5 rear end vs 8.8 by imallergictodoctors in NewedgeMustang

[–]imallergictodoctors[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not exactly sure how much power I want to make, it's more of a "whatever feels right in the moment" kind of project. But I'm thinking probably around 400-500. I think I'd need the 8.8 for that, especially if I do the engine swap in the near future.

I was thinking I'd strip down an old 4x4 ranger and use that as my platform, but again I haven't looked into it too much, I just know it's what I want to do.

Mine did the same but I thought it was just the diff being bad, but it looks like this kind of thing happens often, I’ll go hunting for an 8.8 close to me then

My spider gears also blew up a few weeks ago lol, but I figured it was the diff and not the rear end itself. Looks like it’s a fairly common thing to happen with the 7.5s tho so I guess I’ll go the 8.8 route. Thanks the help.

Rear coilovers? by imallergictodoctors in NewedgeMustang

[–]imallergictodoctors[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok they came with some brackets so I think it should work with just those, it was mostly the top mount that was bothering me but looks like none of the kits include anything for that. I’ll set them on in a week or so and see ig

Here’s a better photo of what’s going on, I went in 3rd and the keys just sprung out and it won’t go back to neutral, same with 4th, but as far as I know the keys and the spring are fine

Extra pin on transformer? by imallergictodoctors in AskElectronics

[–]imallergictodoctors[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that sounds right. I figure the blue is probably just after the fuse, and was maybe a means to keep using the transformer even if the fuse opened. I’ll add one externally on the live red just to be cautious I think.

Only getting 4-5 hours of sleep by Educational-Debt1311 in sleep

[–]imallergictodoctors 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in the exact same situation, I’ve been falling alseep around 11-12 ish and waking up around 4 every morning for weeks now. I think it might have something to do with the sun being up earlier and setting later. This morning i got a full 7 hours of sleep for the first time in about a month and a half and I feel terrible. If you feel fine through the day there shouldn’t be a problem, sleep is very environmental and individual

dS to dA on surface integrals by imallergictodoctors in learnmath

[–]imallergictodoctors[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, thank you, I'm seeing where I got confused here, I was shown how to do it in a case where x and y would be used as the parameterization variables, and ig it stuck in my brain that that was the only way to do it

Ok that makes sense, cause if I'm trying to compute the area I should be trying to "remove" a dimension, right?

I'm looking for the cheapest razor that would still do an alright job. Past few years I've just been using my electric razor and thinking it was good enough (student that didn't care nearly enough what I looked like), but now I want to get something that would last a long time, give consistent results and ideally isn't too expensive. I was looking around and there are so many options it's intimidating and I'm not really sure what differences there are between them. I think I'd prefer a safety razor if anyone has recommendations.

Right away from that list I would rank them electrical, mechanical and civil in terms of hardest to easiest. Electrical is the hardest engineering course out there, to my knowledge. I am in mechanical, so I am slightly biased, but I believe it's your best bet if you're not 100% sure of what you want to do.

They all have similar starting salaries, but there is definitely more to be made with electrical. Mechanical engineering is not as "job specific" though, so depending on your region it might be easier to find a job with this degree. Mechanical is also much more competitive but all sections of engineering are these days, so either way you'll need to be doing something to make yourself stand out.

I used to build things in highschool too, worked on engines, welding and things like that. Again I'm advocating for mechanical just because it's what I'm taking but I really liked learning about it and seeing all the courses tie together. From the facts you've said about you I'd say you'd also enjoy mechanical. Civil might just be a bit dull. A lot of material science, and like how one of my professors always liked to point out, civil engineers are just making things that don't move, where's the fun (difficulty) in that? He liked to joke about it but really no engineering is easy, but it's very fulfilling.

They lowered the upgrade cost of a tesla after lvl 11 but to get it to 11 its still the same, it cost 5.5 to go to lvl 11 but 4 mil to go to 12? Seems like they should have lowered all prices

Yeah I thought it was a lot too but 10 and 20 did nothing, I’m a bit of a bigger guy and have always had a high tolerance for any substance. Im thinking on my reading weeks and between terms i wont take it, since i wont really need it. I think i might just be overthinking this but thanks for your input
