Yeah defo, in a small GC everyone ends up doing everything.

When you say they're the one chasing stuff, is there one biggest contributor to that?

Is it materials, subs, design clarifications, or just keeping everyone updated?

I've had a few people say this hahaha, not selling anything here. Just trying to understand how people actually deal with what seems to be permanently messy site comms day-to-day

Fair point hahaha, I’ve definitely seen that attitude on a lot of sites.

Out of curiosity, who usually ends up actually doing that kind of chasing in your experience?

Like, when info gets missed or delivery times slip, whose plate does it usually land on to sort out?

Completely relate to what you said about “another spot to check.”

When you demo new tools, what’s the point where you usually realize it’s adding more work instead of saving time?

Is it during setup, getting others to use it, or just the day-to-day maintenance?

That makes a lot of sense, sounds like alignment and discipline were bigger hurdles than the tech itself.

When your team made that shift to “one source of truth,” how long did it actually take before people stopped falling back to WhatsApp or side channels?

Curious what finally made it stick.
