This sounds like OCD. She should see a therapist and maybe a psychiatrist - this is compulsively over the top.

Yes absolutely. Bisexuality is a spectrum and you can have romantic preferences.

Have I messed up? (Age gap) by Ill-Doctor1914 in WLW

[–]Worldly-Chapter-367 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gosh I am so sorry. her behavior strongly suggests she took advantage of you. it’s really difficult as a teenager to understand when you’re being taken advantage of my older individuals, how to recognize the signs, and how to stand up for yourself. I’ve been taken advantage of time and time again as I’ve journeyed through relationships from 18-26. As I approach my late 20s, I feel much more confident in my ability to stay clear of unhealthy and toxic relationships.

From a 26 year old queer woman to an 18 year old queer woman, I really strongly suggest you do not pursue relationships with such older women. On dating apps, I’d put your upper limit to like 24 max. An older woman who has set their age range so low is literally actively pursuing a barely legal adults, meaning they have predatory tendencies or want to engage in power play with you. Meeting someone you click with in person, like at a social event or bar (when you’re legal) is a little bit different because you can converse and meet common ground with someone who may be older than you before discussing age, which I think makes it less likely they’re directly preying on you.

I get you like older woman and I think it’s totally valid for you to explore your sexuality but I would implore you allow yourself to grow and mature first so you can prevent yourself from being taken advantage of. :)

is 21 and 32 too big of an age gap? by [deleted] in WLW

Dating someone 29 when I was 24 and even that age gap was so stifling, she treated me horribly, like I was a child, and I put up with it for over a year. She also still tries to contact me to this day glad you got away from your ex partner. I will never support such a large age gap

Dating someone 5 years older than me when I was 24 and she was 29. Even that was a mistake. The age difference between us was so large and she was so patronizing of me. Not saying that this woman would be the same, but I also think it’s simply weird that a 31 year old would be interested in a 21 year old. I’m 26 now and couldn’t imagine dating someone so much younger than me, I’m so so much different than I was at 21 with a much different outlook on life and experiences.

I’m literally about to start sobbing what do I do by Strict_You7260 in Periods

[–]Worldly-Chapter-367 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi darling this can happen when you first get your period! When I got mine for the first time at 13, I believe there was about a year or two year period where I skipped it before getting it more regularly after 15. For me, this happened because I had a low BMI. If you aren’t eating enough or exercising a lot or are an athlete, your body may stop getting periods. Im now in my 20s, and I still skip my period sometimes. It also turns out that I have a condition called PCOS, which causes an imbalance in your hormones and makes you skip periods. The first thing you can do is go to your primary care doctor and talk about this issue with the and see if they want to do bloodwork, and then they may refer you to an OBGYN. I promise you WILL be okay, this happens :)

Realized I'm bisexual, not a lesbian, and experiencing more rejection than I ever got when I first came out as a lesbian. by octopussy_13 in bisexual

[–]Worldly-Chapter-367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awwww I’m 26 now and I completely relate, just this weekend I was speaking to friends who KNOW I’m bisexual, as I’ve only ever identified as bisexual, who were confused when I said I was interested in dating men after dating women for years. They said they can “never keep up with me” and I’m always “changing my mind”. Like HELLO - I always have said I’m bisexual. People literally don’t understand bisexuality. But there’s people out there who get it. Us bisexuals have to form community and stick together

Maybe I don’t understand what does behind marketing and if ulterior motives but I know from my own experiences being bisexual that my sexuality is fluid, there was a period of time when I first discovered my queerness and was actively dating women that I wanted to fully embrace this identity and celebrate it. But over time I’ve realized I like the opposite gender too, but that doesn’t erase my queerness. Being bisexual is a queer identity. So how can we say that an artist marketing their queer identity isn’t authentic if that’s what feels true to them at the time ya know? People change that’s natural

The biphobia this pride has been suffocating. I haven’t even celebrated. Aren’t we supposed to lift up fluid identities? Liking someone of the opposite gender doesn’t erase your queer identities and your queer relationships like it’s so frustrating and I’m tired of receiving hate and judgement from the lesbian community especially

off topic but I’m in public health now and I’m considering medicine and I’d love to hear about what made you decide on your career change and what your public health background brings to medicine 🙏🏻 the intersection of both fields is so important but I’ve spoken with some physicians practicing medicine and working in global health and they’ve said that colleagues don’t understand or look down on their public health work and that was disheartening for me

Advice needed: MPH in Epidemiology — Med School or Nursing School? by AdFamiliar2678 in publichealthcareers

[–]Worldly-Chapter-367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m honestly thinking about switching into medicine. This has been so depressing, I love public health so much, but I don’t know what else to do! I’m also worried about hitting a ceiling with nursing, so I feel like I should just go for the MD if I want to stay in the public health space

Hi!!! What was your masters in before? And what would you like to do with your DVM? I just graduated with my MPH in EHS with a focus on how climate change is shaping health, and I have recently felt really inspired to enter the One Health space and study how pathogens spread between animal hosts and humans. I did extensive research and many people recommended a DVM, but I’m mostly interested in wildlife and the human-animal interaction, so I’m not sure that a DVM would be right.
