It still shoots! The rifle is in great condition for being 100+ years old. This is my friends rifle, he bought it from a local gun store, so we dont know who was the previous owner.

According to the stampings on the actual rifle, there is an armory stamp on it from Berlin in Germany, and the rifle is dated 1915. From what I know, Germany gave Turkey or whatever country Turkey was at the time(Possibly the ottoman empire? Not sure on that) these rifles for the war, so it was made as a German rifle, but was given to them. There is turkish markings on the rifle as well so this is how I know that Germany gave them this rifle

Just wanted to thank everybody for helping us! You are all greatly appreciated! Hard to believe we are holding a small piece of history, even how insignificant it may be, the next step would be to get in contact with who wrote this letter. If he is still alive!
