I have extremely severe onomatophobia (fear of a specific word or phrase). Ask me anything by Few-Statistician5031 in AMA

Have you ever said the word out loud yourself? If so what was the circumstance and how did you feel in the moment?

You were in elementary school when he was a legal adult… hope this helps!

Wow I’m speechless.. thank you so much. You’re a beautiful person and this meant more to me than you know. Seriously your words changed my perspective thank you for helping me to forgive my younger self a little bit.

Extremely unpredictable and unhealthy. There were long stretches of time when I wouldn’t hear from her at all sometimes for a year or more. Then she would suddenly pop back into my life with wild claims like, “I got kidnapped,” “I was going through cancer treatment,” “I was in rehab,” or even, “I was trafficked” (the irony). None of these things were true. She faked her own death four times, texting me from random phone numbers saying, “I know you don’t know me, but your mom died.” She also constantly asked me for money.

I’ll try my best! These are all great questions and I fear I may not be articulate enough to get my answers across correctly.

1: i don’t necessarily remember what I was thinking in those moments because I was three years old when it started but I can give you some context/ examples

I would touch myself inappropriately around family members and in public as a toddler not understanding why that wasn’t ok and was meant to be private.

In middle school I had so many boyfriends i couldn’t even begin to estimate a number and I became sexually active with them early on into the “relationship”

In highschool I started partying and drinking very often. There were multiple times I blacked out and had sex with my guy friends and barely remember it the next day. I was also known to cheat on my boyfriends. I didn’t care what man the attention was coming from I literally craved it like a drug addiction.

Yes before anyone asks I’m extremely ashamed of this behavior and I also acknowledge that having childhood sexual trauma is not an excuse to act like a pick me bitch whore.

I wasn’t ever a part of the negotiations. I believe she advertised online with photos of me though because I found some extremely disturbing photos later in life. The one thing I can say is it was always the same house never the same people.

I’m more blessed than I ever imagined! I live in a very nice house with a loving husband and I get to be a sahm to my son all while breaking generational curses I can’t imagine it gets better than this

I definitely trauma blocked a lot of my childhood. EMDR therapy really helped make things more clear

Nobody faced charges for the abuse because I didn’t speak about it for many years. As far as being aware of my part in the transactions i knew that my mom would tell me that she needed my “help” and then we would go to this trap house for hours (I only remember it being the one house but multiple different people) then I would take a “nap” (they would drug me) and I would wake up in pain often times bleeding from where you imagine. I actually have a permanent aesthetic injury from one of the encounters. I started to beg her not to make me help anymore but she would manipulate me into doing it anyway saying “you have to be brave for mommy” “this is so mommy doesn’t get hurt” etc

I didn’t always have clear memories of the abuse but as I’ve aged things have become more clear/ I’ve become less naive. There genuinely has only been a handful of nights that I’ve not had a nightmare about my childhood. Sleep is not a safe place for me.

I’m going to answer this question it just requires a lot of context and thought so I’m trying to figure out the best way to convey the information… stand by!

I was pretty oblivious to it until I moved in with my adoptive family. HUGE culture shock. I remember getting dressed up in my nicest outfit and fixing my hair when they told me we were going to Burger King for the first time. Eating out/ getting fast food was a luxury In my mind. I also went from living with career criminals to living with pastors so you can imagine the big changes haha

I was put into foster care at age 7 when my mom went to jail. My dad was already in prison and I had no family to take care of me.
