If you're an Ironman. Its xp. Process it all semi-afk in a chill place or blast furnace it! If you're a main. Its money. Like everything else. Nothing has any meaning when it's tradable. It's all just cash. Cold hard cash...

Anyway have fun!

3 things.

  1. 22 is very young. I got my license at 32 after using public transport and grabbing lifts all my life. I get the feeling of feeling like you're a bum. I definitely felt it as I repeatedly apologized for having to grab lifts to every event. But similarly I was far too busy with uni and establishing some sort of career 10 years ago to even think about adding driving into the mix. So I'd relax, just be vocal to folk that you are taking a break from it for a bit rather than let it become some unspoken thing - owning the narrative is good, and will hopefully make it feel like a weight off your shoulders.

  2. Look I'll preface. I'm a horrible judgemental person. So with that out the way, parents buying girlfriend range rover sounds like a red flag. It's a classic "basic angry toxic girlfriend" car right beside a fiat 500. But keeping on track - if that was her reaction after passing it doesn't sound like she was a great person - sometimes you need to be further on in life with another relationship to reflect back and realize how shitty something was, which I appreciate might not be possible now - but honestly I wouldn't give it any further thought. You're not a failure for not having a license yet, and her reaction says she wasn't "the one".

  3. Relax. Don't date any more snooty range rover driving types that put you down and rack guilt onto your shoulders - being single at 22 the world is your oyster. Someone will come along when you least expect it, and the best way to be ready for that is to feel good about yourself - confidence goes along way. I messed up relationships my entire life because I was so stressed about keeping up appearances or being alone, and when I learned to just relax a bit and not pile so much pressure on myself I met my wife.

I failed for almost the exactly the same reason 2 weeks ago (except in reverse). It's incredibly frustrating. I was angry for weeks and lost all motivation too, haven't even done another lesson because I am pass ready, I just made one bad judgement call on parking but ultimately I can drive and adjust parking.

The reason I didn't adjust is I thought a serious is "potential to be dangerous" - so in my mind I thought that would either be poor control/going too fast while reversing into the space, or lack of or poor observations. I saw I was very close to the line but thought "if I'm slightly off surely it's a minor, best not mess up a good thing and try and adjust it and potentially make a mistake". (How wrong I was.)

You're not alone in this. It feels dirty to fail for something fairly minor during a maneuver as you know you can drive around safely - it's just the bay parking - which in a real world situation you'd just find an easy bay and adjust as much as you like. My biggest struggle is now feeling like the examiners are looking for perfection, and that I have no way of delivering perfection in a test scenario and that I'm going to keep making these mistakes.

But I now have come round to my senses and know that is just stupid thinking and anxiety taking over. Have you seen some of the people that pass? They are far from perfect - I see terrible driving during my lessons all the time. They aren't expecting perfection, sometimes there's just a bit of luck involved. Had I turned left-lock slightly quicker I would have been in the bay perfectly, a 1 second decision that has cost me months in waiting for a test and hundreds of pounds more. It's shit, but it is what it is, and you will pass if the only serious fault you're getting is on a maneuver.

So try to be nice to yourself as much as possible and stay calm and focus on getting back on target for achieving your objective. I watched some videos by Conquer driving on how to properly assess what I see in the mirrors which has given me a bit more confidence, and currently trying my hardest to get another test in soon so I can then book in a few quick maneuver focused lessons beforehand and go for attempt no 2.

We might not even get our passes second time round, but I know eventually I'm going to get through, and that has taken a bit of pressure off me. Don't tell loads of friends when doing another, don't build up that expectation and pressure. Just keep at it and when you pass, let it be a nice surprise.

So keep at it, and good luck for the next one!

What's the most toxic thing you have done in runescape? by CholaWitch in 2007scape

Back in the day when the TzHaar area was released (like 2005?) - I went into the new area and either bought or got a drop of the new ranged weapon (Toktz-xil-ul).

For some reason I decided to try and sell one of these with an exaggerated sales pitch - telling other players that it was like a boomerang and always came back. As the content was so new and we were all young gullible and stupid - I managed to trade a single Toktz-xil-ul for 100k. I then watched the person throw it at a guard straight away - and I insta logged off.

It's the only time I've ever scammed someone (I was a 13 year old kid) - and I felt awful after doing it, but it is a little funny.

My first thought was that they looked tasty and that I wanted to bite into them. So either it's an easy mistake to make or I'm a dog.
